Gabby Douglas is taking back her controversial comments she made on social media on Friday.
The 21-year-old gymnast issued an apology after Simone Biles called her out for telling their former USA Olympic Gymnastics competitor Aly Raisman that it's a woman's "responsibility" to "dress modestly" after Raisman spoke out about women being victim-shamed.
"Just because a woman does a sexy photoshoot or wears a sexy outfit does not give a man the right to shame her or not believe her when she comes forward about sexual abuse,” Raisman wrote in her post. "What is wrong with some of you? And when a woman dresses sexy it does not give a man the right to sexually abuse her Ever."
Douglas replied to Raisman, saying in a now-deleted tweet, "However it is our responsibility as women to dress modestly and be classy. Dressing in a provocative/sexual way entices the wrong crowd."

I became a fan of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers several years ago by a chance encounter with a friend's iPod. I became obsessed and ended up going through what I thought was his whole catalogue. I classified him as a classic rock artist who was underappreciated, no longer relevant, and patted myself on the back for "getting it." So when I heard that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were coming to Seattle on August 19, I grabbed my credit card and headed to my laptop, ready to buy a general admission ticket to Neumos or the Showbox…maybe the Moore Theater. After all, if the bands that I listened to in high school were playing those venues when they came to town, that's where I'd find Tom Petty.
I could not have been more wrong. Tom Petty's catalogue spans 40 years, 13 albums, 68 singles, and his most recent record, The Hypnotic Eye,...

In Joseph Conrad's cynical, politically influenced work Under Western Eyes, the author takes steps in describing themes of terrorism, the degradation of character, and the suffering experienced by ordinary people caught in the wave of political influence. Mr. Conrad makes a poignant statement describing how two factions of society lived in pre-Revolutionary Russia when it is stated, "only that a belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness."

Following Sunday’s black-tie gala at Ford’s Theatre attended with First Lady Melania Trump and First Daughter Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump has tripled-down on calling for a travel ban from Muslim-majority countries in the wake of the London Bridge terror attack that left seven victims dead on Saturday.

President Donald Trump has lashed out at London Mayor Sadiq Khan just hours after the London Bridge terror attack on Saturday, twisting Khan’s response to the tragedy and criticizing “political correctness.”
“We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don’t get smart it will only get worse,” Trump, 70, tweeted.
He added, “At least seven dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed’!”
The comment came from an interview Khan did with the BBC regarding the police action being taken after the attack.

If there’s one area the United States is very much behind the curve in it’s things like themed trains, plains, buildings, etc etc. Major buildings don’t always have to be so serious looking. Cars don’t have to be so plain. And the ways in which we get to work on go on trips don’t have to be so vanilla. If you want to look for inspiration on this, look no further than Japan. Japan’s got tons of structures and vehicles that sport vibrant colors and often times themes of the cultures favorite shows, pasttimes, movies, you name it. A fine

By far, 2003 was a big year. Lance Armstrong won his fifth Tour De France, Americans tried to rename "French Fries" to "Freedom Fries," and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was published. The show followed the lives of newlywed singers Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson between 2003 and 2005, and although some episodes consisted entirely of Nick cleaning the pool while Jessica talked on the phone and bought expensive underwear, it was also full of iconic lines courtesy of the "With You" singer that went down in TV history. Network Synopsis: Everyone in the store is on edge as Glenn (Mark McKinney) tries to figure out which employees to lay off. We're straddling the edge of sanity with "Don't Be Ridiculous," and the title taunts us.
As we see on The Leftovers Season 3 Episode 2, the last three years have brought the Garveys and nearly everyone else to their knees. If they were coping well before, what we see on the surface now could mean anything.
Years of processing the loss of 2% of the population affected everyone differently. Some people are harder, some softer, some hard on the outside with a soft coating, gooey on the inside with a hard shell; but most appear willing to believe just about anything.
Much of the hour focuses on Nora. She excels at her job because she can see through the lies of someone who didn't truly lose someone to a Sudden Departure.
Nobody, from what we've seen, has departed since that first October 14, but people continue using the event to cover up other offenses.

Did anyone miss the Macon plantation? I didn't think so.
Underground Season 2 Episode 7 took us back to the Macon plantation as Noah and Rosalee went in search of Ernestine and James. Of course, the pair planned on rescuing Rosalee's family and heading back north.
Unfortunately, the trip took a totally expected turn for the absolute worst.
First, we need to talk about Noahlee. What is happening with this glorious 'ship? As a Noahlee shipper, I feel like the weight on the pendulum that is their relationship.
There was friction between them – a tension that weighed heavily on the pair throughout the hour. They fought like hell to reunite, and now...I don't know.
They had sweet moments. He comforted and calmed her more than once, and she asked him to tell her about the house he planned to build for them. She also gave him a watch for Christmas.
Rosalee: Tell me about it.

David Lynch proved himself as a master of film music in his 1986 feature.
“Every note of music has enough breath to carry you away, and as a director, all you have to do is let the right wind blow at the right time” — David Lynch
Sound and music are incredibly important in David Lynch’s films. From Eraserhead (1977) on, Lynch has shown his talent for creating creepy and dreamy soundscapes, which include music and dialogue as well as diegetic and non-diegetic sound effects. Perhaps Lynch’s most popular film, Blue Velvet (1986) perfectly blends together pop music, original score, and Lynchian sound effects. Blue Velvet is especially rich with beautiful music that both comments on and runs counter to the images onscreen. This was the first film in which Lynch focused on both original score/sound effects and pre-existing pop music.

Writing out the plot of Catfight makes it sound absolutely insane: The satire stars Sandra Oh as wino trophy wife Veronica and Anne Heche as failed artist Ashley, one-time college frenemies who run into each other years later and end up in a brawl that leaves Veronica comatose. Two years later, she wakes to find that she's lost everything and Ashley is now thriving. The two re-meet, another brawl ensues, Ashley goes into a coma and everything changes...again. There is also a war on terror, a not-so-subtle Trump diss, and a character called the Fart Machine. Then again, when you have a chance to watch the indie film (out March 3), it is that insane. Et sat down with the stars for a freewheeling discussion about their movie, why Oh doesn't want to talk about Grey's Anatomy and losing roles to each other.

What a refreshing hour of Supernatural!
Right from the outset of Supernatural Season 12 Episode 12, there was something different. The camera shots, the pacing, the soundtrack.
It was during the slow motion scene with Sam, Dean, Mary and Wally that I had to check on the director.
Turns out, Richard Speight Jr., who played Gabriel on the show, was at the helm. Though, it wasn’t his first time directing Sam and Dean Winchester, as he also directed Supernatural Season 11 Episode 8, “Just My Imagination.”
Some of the episodes for Supernatural Season 12 have left me unimpressed, and I haven’t been wowed by the storylines so far, but something was reinvigorating about this particular hour.
There was some real excitement and tension. There was diving into the lore with the Prince of Hell and the return of the Colt. And though I’ve grown tired of Lucifer this season, there was something...

New York City’s harsh streets may have jaded this innocent critic, but a sense of humor still flickers on. I swear it. My laughter during Bob’s Burgers is disruptive to anyone in a 100-yard radius. So why have mainstream comedies been leaving me empty and numb? Fist Fight hits upon everything that should tickle my pop-culture funnybone. Ice Cube references pepper this gangster vs. Charlie Day rumble – something I’d pay top dollar for – yet the film itself lands soft, unflinching blows. Dick jokes and obscenities merely strive for passing marks, while the film’s curriculum couldn’t be more by-the-books. Are we sure this screenplay wasn’t scribbled down during a boring lecture?
Day stars as good-guy teacher Mr. Campbell, who fearfully works at a deplorable high school alongside his colleague, Cube’s Mr. Strickland. Campbell finds himself in Strickland’s history class, where one of the...
