A Proud People with Values more Americans need!
terminatorit23 August 2012
American Gypsies is a show (documentary) about a proud family of New York gypsies, named the "Johns" which allows viewers into the secretive world of Roma culture. Like many good families, they love and support one another, while trying to remain loyal to their customs in America. The show mainly revolves around five brothers, each with a family(as the average age for Roma worldwide is 15.5 years) which they love and support, while maintaining a successful business their family has been involved with some the 70's.

They are a people steeped in traditions, and customs unknown to most of America. However, in order to break the terrible stereotypes, their people have endured for centuries, they have allowed cameras into their homes and lives to show Americans, and the world, how they are just like everyone else, but without breaking customs, one off the few things truly theirs as a people with no official country.
