Solid Episode
This was up there with one of my favourite episodes. You will need to go back to season 9 (The Monster) when we first saw the introduction of this serial killing cult. To be honest I had forgotten all about that episode until it all came flooding back in the intro to this episode.
The episode itself is solid, the acting, camera work and the movie theatre scene is really well shot edgy nervy and very Saw esque. The surprise element you can see coming a mile away however it doesn't spoil the episode and leaves the door wide open for this story line to be a 3 parter. Very enjoyable and we do need to see more of this type of story instead of the woke episodes that are so frequent especially in this franchise.

Suitably creepy for the week before Halloween. But. . .
"The Body Stitchers"
NCIS Los Angeles at it's best.
It's rare that LA, which is a fairly light show - despite the murders, kidnappings and all that sort of stuff, of course - veers into such dark territory, but it does in this episode, a sequel of sorts to the season nine episode "The Monster", about people who kill and sew their limbs on other bodies (a Navy officer was murdered in that earlier episode), and veers there with great effect.
It took the best part of five seasons to come back to that group, who got away back then, and it is a brilliant if disturbing episode (most of the gore is offscreen, but you certainly still get the gist of what's taking place), full of tense scenes, and the ending sets up what I assume will be at least a further episode in this arc.
