Not a Bad Iteration
theodore6219 December 2022
Not a bad iteration of the franchise. Fassnidge is a likable bloke and of course he knows his stuff, and by and large his crew does a good job of remaking the places into something nice and modernized. My objection to all of these shows is how often the restauranteurs don't really deserve help, being either so lazy or clueless or both. I think of all the places that are struggling because of the pandemic that could use this kind of help, and it kind of turns me off the show. But it does make for good tv, I must admit, and some of these people are really off the charts planks, like the guy with a restaurant right beside the ocean who uses frozen seafood. He's fun to despise.

I think I prefer Colin to Gordon

Colin Fassnidge does a great job on Kitchen Nightmares. At first, I thought that this was just going to be a rubbish rip-off but by the end... I actually preferred Colin to Gordon Ramsay. As good as the UK and US iterations of the show are, Gordon seems to go through the motions episode after episode but Colin seems to genuinely care and want to help the struggling restaurants. He comes up with some brilliant ideas for the owners and delicious dishes to help bring new customers to failing restaurants. Channel 7 needs to get it's finger out and hurry up with a season 2! I could watch these all day long.

Season 2 is a Must

I prefer this show than the Gordon Ramsay one because I live in Australia, I love it when Colin goes through the fridges and finds horrific gross food. Colin also is an amazing chef so it's great to see him doing an Australian version of the Kitchen Nightmares. There has to be a season 2 because this show is just too good. Colin is a real helper to the struggling and discusting resturants he has visited, he really turns them around and most of them are still even open till this day. Colin has been served some very rememerable and truly discusting dishes in this show and it's always so good when the owners freak out.
