Shortly before that he had made his musical breakthrough in the German-speaking world. Jazz singer Roger CICERO (1970-2016) performed for Germany at the EUROVISION Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki the song "Frauen regieren die Welt" (Women rule the World). To this day, by the way, this is the last song in German that was sent to the competition by the German regional broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk. Roger CICERO did not make it to the top spots, but his brilliant performance only confirmed his exceptional appearance in the music business. Jazzy songs in German and in big band style, no one could imitate him.

Roger CICEROs father, Eugen CICERO (1940-1997) born in Cluj, Romania, was a successful jazz musician who was already practicing crossover before the term was even used in the music business. In their documentary film, Tina FREITAG and Kai WESSEL show various archive recordings that trace the extraordinary careers of father and son. Musical companions such as Till BRÖNNER and Johannes OERDING also have their say.

A wonderful memory of two outstanding musicians who both died much too early of a cerebral infarction!
