In the most heinous crime Barberton, Ohio has ever seen, Judy Johnson is raped and murdered in her home. Her six year old granddaughter is also assaulted, but is able to identify "someone who looked like Uncle Clarence" as the attacker. With those words, Clarence Elkins becomes doomed to spend his life behind bars, unless he and his family can prove that a man locked up with him in the same institution is the real perpetrator of the savagery he's been condemned for.
