Just As Bad As I Thought It Would Be
quinnwalton-4317618 October 2022
First of all, I feel bad for Megan Thee Stallion because I just found out what all crap she has been through recently. Now, with that being said, I think I might have preferred the Billie Eilish episode from last season more, and I can't stand Billie Eilish! Back to Megan, I barely got a word out of her monologue because she was talking at light speed, she acted like herself in every sketch, the writing was bad for the most part, and the only decent sketches were "Deer" and "We Got Brought". I didn't even watch her musical performances because I can't stand her music. So, yeah, those were my thoughts about this episode.

I guess Tom Hanks wasn't available
MDawn17 October 2022
I'm not sure what happened SNL: if every performer known to man was out of town for the October 15 episode, couldn't you have rung up someone in the 5-timers Club like Tom Hanks or Steve Martin to do the show instead of settling for someone like Megan Thee Stallion? Why is she famous again? Oh right, MTS may be a good rapper/singer, but she is dreadful as a non-singing performer/host. Her rap persona was the only one used in every skit and the monologue, which by the way was the first time in the history of watching SNL that I could only understand every 10 words due to the host's too-fast talking and use of slang. The really sad part is the writers had to set the skit quality bars much lower than usual just to meet MTS at her own level. The result is a gigantic waste of this episode and I hope in future Lorne can look in his rolodex or the world at large for an endless supply of better options.

Probably the worst SNL host ever
jamuller7 November 2022
The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is out of respect for the other hardworking SNL cast members who had to suffer through working with her for this episode. I could only understand every third word she was saying, and she did not come across as funny at all. She is obviously pandering to her fan base, which probably makes up 0.00000001% of the total viewing audience. That figure is being generous. The funniest sketch in the whole show was the 3 young writers, who are hilarious. Followed by the news with Colin and Shay.

I think Kanye would have made a better, and funnier, host.

Hot Girl Hospital Skit
lunarrainbowpro17 October 2022
The first skit after the monalogue entitled Hot Girl Hospital is undeniably exactly how a hospital will perform in 15 -20 years from now. It is also how hospitals are depicted in the movie Idiocracy. This is no longer a satire or parody but more of a fore-telling of what appears to be inevitably a huge problem for our society. And our solution is to make comedic skits to hopefully exacerbate and even accelerate the problem?? At a certain point we have to become more aware of the fact that the art we create, regardless of how funny it may be, that it's affects on the society may potentially be devastating...

Always entertaining

I will be loyal. I love the way they keep going with the times. And I remember watching this from my early youth. There is the nostalgia and there is good comedy. The changing of the guard of many cast members will not destroy this institution. They have been through many "refresh" years and this will prove to be a very positive and comedic intellectual refresh. To judge this on the past casts is unfair. Each cast must and most times, do, entertain. Also, so far, the musical guests have rocked the stage. Please don't give up on SNL. THEY ARE AND WILL ALWAYS BE, A COLLEGIATE INSTITUTION OF COMEDIC GENIUS. SNL ROCKS.
