I got a chance to view this little short last Halloween. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this little short stood out above the others in strange ways. Not necessarily in brilliant skill of filmmaking, but in sheer originality. Lavish angle, and color pallet and weird circumstances, reminded me of Evil Dead (of which I recall the makers were going for). Featured some really old-school looking special effects. Some of which looked like they had been drawn right on to the footage. I also noticed some CG put into there, so it had something for everyone! The only thing that brought it down for me was the acting, I had slight trouble feeling connected with the characters. But it was not enough to spoil the rest of the short for me. With some improvement/further experience I can see the folks behind this getting a good nudge into the big games someday. Cheers!
