Just three years ago, it seemed like the summer blockbuster might be a thing of the past. After Covid kept cinemas closed across the United States for the majority of 2020, the box office reopened in 2021 on uncertain footing, as many movies flopped and overall movie grosses leaned toward the softer side. That summer seemed like the harbinger of the end for the seasonal release strategy that “Jaws” perfected all the way back in 1975, wherein the hottest months hosts the biggest titles — marketed aggressively to theatergoers. The movie theater business had been in crisis for awhile now, but the pandemic seemed to speed along their predicted demise, as the streaming age ended the era when movies could be events. So thank goodness for “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer.”
Things aren’t entirely rosy at cinemas again,...

For years, Pixar’s films have appealed to families and general audiences alike, a potent combination in terms of box office potential. With Inside Out 2, that duality hit the next level, which helps explain why the PG-rated sequel enjoyed one of the biggest second weekends of all time, taking its place alongside a squadron of fanboy-fueled tentpoles.
The Pixar/Disney release cleared a staggering $100 million in North America over the June 21-23 weekend in a first for an animated or PG-rated film after passing up Illumination and Universal’s 2023 entry The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($92 million). It is only the seventh film ever to cross $100 million in its second outing. And, yes, it even beat Barbie‘s second weekend haul of $93 million.
Speaking of Barbie, many are saying Inside Out 2 is the first must-see movie since that film debuted almost a year ago. And like the Barbehnheimer phenomenon,...

In a surprising revelation, Eddie Murphy has announced that production on “Shrek 5” is already underway, with a potential release date set for 2025. The comedian, known for voicing the beloved character Donkey in the franchise, shared this information during interviews for his upcoming film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.”
“We started doing ‘Shrek 5’ months ago,” Murphy told Collider. “I recorded the first act, and we’ll be finishing it up this year.” He added, “I think it’s coming out in 2025.”
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Murphy also confirmed that a Donkey spinoff movie is in development, following the success of the “Puss in Boots” films. “Donkey’s gonna have his own movie. We’re gonna do Donkey as well,” he stated.
This news comes after reports from Variety in April 2023 suggesting that Universal and DreamWorks Animation were considering a fifth “Shrek” movie with the original cast, including Mike Myers...

Disney had a pretty rough year at the box office in 2023, suffering huge flops with films like "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" and "The Marvels." But things are looking up as we enter the second half of 2024, as "Inside Out 2" has already become the highest-grossing movie of the year, dethroning "Dune: Part Two" to take the crown in a mere nine days. In the process, it has managed to accomplish something that no movie has accomplished since 2019 when "Avengers: Endgame" hit theaters en route to becoming (for a time) the biggest movie in history.
Director Kelsey Mann's "Inside Out 2" cleared $101 million domestically in its second weekend, dropping just 35% after its record-breaking opening. It is now just the seventh movie in history to make at least $100 million on its second weekend in theaters. The last time that happened? When "Endgame" pulled in an astonishing $114.7 million on...

Eddie Murphy says he’s already recorded the first act of Shrek 5, which DreamWorks Animation hasn’t even announced yet, and that there’s also a Donkey spinoff movie that’s bound to happen.
Murphy also said about Shrek 2025, “I think it’s coming out in 2025”
As Inside Out 2 has proven, and even 2022’s Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, when it comes to animated sequels with moviegoers, absence makes the heart grow fonder and the box office bigger, those two titles respectively grossing $724.3M and close to a half billion worldwide.
Murphy on the press tour for Netflix/Paramount’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley told Collider that “We started doing Shrek 4 or [Shrek] 5 months ago. I did this, I recorded the first act, and we’ll be doing it this year, we’ll finish it up. Shrek is coming out, and Donkey’s gonna have his own movie.

The past few years have been far from how things should have turned out for movie studios. It would be wrong to suggest that we have not come across any blockbuster movie, but it is no secret that we’ve failed to witness a repeat of the exploits that was a characteristic of the pre Covid days. In spite of everything, in an era highlighted by the lackluster performance of movies across the board, there is a genre that has managed to script a comeback – animated flicks.

John Krasinski’s “If” (Paramount) needs strong post-theatrical results to make it a success. Initial results from PVOD ($19.99 rental), which reached #1 right away at both iTunes and Fandango, suggest it is headed in the right direction.
In the short term, it might be able to sustain that pace; its main competition will be this week’s release of the underperforming “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” More critical is whether it can sustain multiple weeks at higher levels. With a $110 million before-marketing cost, $180 million in worldwide gross needs supplementing.
Richard Linklater’s “Hit Man” is sustaining its run. Netflix’s $20 million worldwide acquisition, after an above-average 10 days as #1 on its top 10 movie viewing chart, is still at #2. “Trigger Warning,” a far less-acclaimed Netflix original, is currently #1. The action/thriller title, which stars Jessica Alba and is the American debut for Indonesian director Mouly Surya, was filmed nearly three years ago.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new 2024 box office champion. After less than two weeks, Disney's "Inside Out 2" has managed to outgross every other movie released this year so far, overtaking Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Part Two" ($711.8 million) to take the crown. The only question now is just how high Pixar's latest can fly.
Director Kelsey Mann's "Inside Out 2" took in an absolutely ridiculous $100 million in its second weekend domestically, dropping just 35% from its record-breaking $154.2 million debut. Pixar's latest also pulled in a stellar $164.4 million overseas in its second frame. That brings the movie's running total to $724.3 million and counting. That number includes $355.1 million from domestic ticket sales. This is to take nothing away from "Dune: Part Two," which made $282.1 million domestically and $429.7 million internationally, coming in well above expectations. It's just no longer the king of the hill.

It’s no secret that theaters are struggling, and 2024 was shaping up to be another disappointing year. You know it’s a rough year when we’re already at the end of June, and “Dune: Part Two” is the highest grossing film worldwide ($711 million). Or should we say “was” the highest grossing film, thanks to the monster success of Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out 2.”

Set on a trash-filled, uninhabitable Earth in 2805, Wall-e tells the story of a lonely robot left behind to clean up the mess — and 16 years after the Pixar film’s release, that robot has become something of an environmental icon.
In the film, Earth has been destroyed by corporate greed and consumerism, with humans abandoning the planet and finding solace on spaceships. Trash-compacting robots have been tasked with returning the planet to its former state, but that mission has largely failed, and Wall-e is the only one left. But everything changes when he meets and falls in love with Eve, a sleek robot who’s been sent to Earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable.
At the recent premiere of Pixar’s Inside Out 2, Pixar president Jim Morris — who produced Wall-e — reflected on the film today, insisting the studio didn’t make it “with a message movie in mind” and noting,...

Cinemark stock has risen after a double-upgrade from Roth Mkm analyst Eric Handler that cited strong Hollywood box office expectations and debt reduction options.
Shares in Cinemark rose by 62 cents, or just over 3 percent, to $20.20 in pre-market trading on Monday after Handler upgraded his stock rating to buy from neutral and increased his price target to $26 from $19.
After Pixar’s Inside Out 2 continued to impress with its second weekend cinema ticket sales of $100 million domestically, the Roth Mkm analyst forecast a cyclical upturn for Cinemark from improved box office coming out of the dual Hollywood strikes last year.
“We are increasingly optimistic about upcoming box office releases, especially the big ‘mega-franchises’ slated in 2025/2026. Headwinds from Hollywood’s 6-month work stoppage in 2023 that weighed on the 1H24 release slate are easing,” Handler wrote in June 24 investors note.

Inside Out 2’s box office takings streak past Dune: Part Two globally, putting Pixar’s sequel on track to the hallowed $1bn mark.
The good news for cinema owners continued this weekend, as Pixar’s follow-up to 2015 classic Inside Out easily leapfrogged Dune: Part Two to become the highest-grossing film of 2024 globally.
Inside Out 2 – already the largest opening of the year in the US – fell just 35% there in its second week of release, with domestic takings now hovering around the $355m mark. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that makes it the best hold for a film opening to $150m or more in history.
Globally, meanwhile, the film’s total now stands at $724m – easily surpassing Dune: Part Two's previous record of $711m after almost doubling its take in its first weekend.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Box Office Collection Day 3 Updates! (Photo Credit –Instagram)
It was a weekend of just over 4 crores for Ishq Vishk Rebound. The film managed to show some growth again on Sunday and that pushed the numbers to 1.65 crore. On Saturday the film had collected 1.50 crore so there is an increment in numbers that has come in. Yes, collections over 2 crores would have had a better ring to it but then limited growth from Friday to Saturday meant that it would always been challenging to show bigger growth on Sunday.
Moreover, the film is also facing a lot of competition from holdover releases Chandu Champion (in its second week) and Munjya (in its third week). Both the films saw over 5 crores each coming in on both Saturday and Sunday and between them, have a lot of prime shows dedicated to them. Hence, this romcom starring (relative) newcomers has a...

Will Smith & Martin Lawrence Film Nears $300 Million Milestone(Photo Credit –Instagram)
The latest film in the Bad Boys Franchise continues to break records despite fresh competition from Inside Out 2. In its third week, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, featuring Hollywood stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, soared past Bad Boys II as the second-biggest instalment in the long-running franchise’s history, both domestically and worldwide. The film is also nearing a $300 Million milestone.
Inside Out 2, which smashed records during the second weekend, becoming the highest-grossing film in the world in 2024, did not deter Bad Boys’ performance. While the 2020 threequel Bad Boys For Life’s $424M is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die is eyeing a $400 Million Global run, becoming the second-highest installment in the franchise.
The slapgate controversy plaguing Will Smith did not dim his star power globally, as evidenced by the box office.

Feelgood local movie “Moments We Shared” ran off to a dominant win at the mainland China box office, despite releasing only on Saturday.
If ever there was need of further evidence of Hollywood’s diminished power with Chinese audiences, this weekend provided it. “Moments’” win came at the expense of two U.S. films – Pixar animation “Inside Out 2” and action franchise “Bad Boys 4” – that have performed well in other markets.
“Inside Out 2” got a head start and opened conventionally on Friday with a decent $2.32 million that temporarily put it in first place. Its Saturday total increased to $4.3 million and retreated slightly to $3.44 million on Sunday for a weekend total of $10.3 million. Imax reported that $1.1 million of that total came from its screens in China.
Nevertheless, the animated U.S. title was swept away by the Saturday-released “Moments.” It topped the chart on both Saturday and Sunday and earned $19.4 million over two days.

“Inside Out 2” enjoyed a stellar second weekend at the South Korean box office, comfortably beating local thriller “Hijack 1971.”
The Pixar animation recorded a week-on-week drop of only 15% to score $10.3 million between Friday and Sunday, according to data from Kobis the box office tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council (Kofic). Its market share through the weekend was a powerful 70%.
Those performances give the film a $28 million cumulative after 12 days in Korean cinemas. In that short time, “Inside Out 2” has become the third highest-scoring film released this year in the country. And it has overtaken ”Wonka” to be the most watched import title of 2024.
Opening in second place was “Hijack 1971,” a fact-based Korean kidnap story about an airplane hijacking during which an explosion caused the pilot to lose an eye. Starring Ha Jung-woo and Yeo Jin-goo, the film opened in second place It earned $3.36 million and...

After claiming the top spot of the box-office weekend seven days ago by a whopping $122 million, Inside Out 2 held onto that spot this weekend by the slightly smaller margin of $81.2 million.
In its second weekend of release, Inside Out 2 brought in $100.0 million for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures as it easily remained in the number one spot of the box-office weekend top ten. In a distant second place remained Bad Boys: Ride or Die with $18.8 million. In its third week of release, the Sony Pictures Releasing product has brought in a total of $146.9 million for the studio. Meanwhile, Focus Features enjoyed the debut of The Bikeriders in third place, where it made $10.0 million over the course of its first weekend in release. Holding steady in fourth place was The Garfield Movie which made $3.6 million in its fifth weekend in release, to bring its overall total to $85.1 million for Sony Pictures Releasing.

No one saw this coming. “Inside Out 2” (Disney) fell only 35 percent in its second weekend. Following a great $154 million opening, huge initial weekdays, it’s added an estimated $100 million. That puts it at $355 million in only 10 days.
How big is that? Second only since Covid to “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in 2021, which had December 25 and 26 in the first 10 days of its opening, eventually grossing $470 million in that time. It even edges out “Barbie” ($351 million) and bests the full run of “Oppenheimer.”
This is phenomenal. In many ways, this weekend is even more impressive than the strong debut. With less emphasis on premium screens and of course many lower-price tickets for kids, sales outpace any release since “No Way Home.” Kids also always elevate concessions, which makes the bounty for theaters even greater.
The total weekend gross will be around $152 million, an improvement of $41 million from last year and reducing the year-to-date shortfall to 21 percent.

The success of Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” seems to have given the box office a much-needed jumpstart this weekend, helping a number of smaller releases. Read on for the weekend box office report.
After achieving the second-largest opening for an animated film, Disney and Pixar’s animated sequel “Inside Out 2” had a negligible second weekend drop to bring in an estimated $100 million this weekend. That’s down just 35% from its opening weekend, but more importantly, it brings its domestic total to a whopping $355.2 million after just ten days. That is, by far, the biggest success we’ve seen at the box office since last July’s “Barbie,” as it also surpassed the $282.1 million made by “Dune: Part Two,” to become the highest-grossing movie of the year.
“Inside Out 2” added another $164.4 million overseas this weekend to bring its global total to $724.4 million in two weeks. That also passes the global total for “Dune,...

After just two weekends of release, “Inside Out 2” is towering above the rest as the highest-grossing movie of the year.
Disney and Pixar’s sequel has generated $355 million in North America and $724 million globally to date, overtaking the previous record holder, “Dune: Part Two” ($282 million domestically and $711 million worldwide). At this rate, it’ll soon be the first movie of 2024 to cross $1 billion worldwide.
Internationally, the “Inside Out” sequel collected $164.4 million from 44 territories in its second outing. So far, it has earned $369.2 million overseas to stand as the year’s third-biggest international release behind “Godzilla x Kong” ($371 million) and “Dune Part 2” ($429 million). Top earning markets include Mexico ($63.9 million), the United Kingdom ($29.2 million), Korea ($29 million), Germany ($17.9 million) and Brazil ($17.3 million). It opens in its final major market, Japan, on Aug. 1.

The final box office results are in for the weekend (courtesy of ComScore), and Inside Out 2 officially has the biggest second weekend for an animated film of all time. The mega-blockbuster from Pixar made $100 million this weekend for a mighty $355 million domestic haul in only two weeks. Certainly, it’s proving to naysayers that Pixar’s back at the top of the animated heap after a few flops and not in danger of losing prestige anytime soon. That said, it can’t help but feel like the success of Inside Out 2 may pave the way for more and more “safe” movies, like sequels, making me wonder if the days of them tackling more ambitious fare like Wall-e are behind them. We’ll see.
Second, as we predicted, is Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which is holding up even better than expected, with an $18 million-plus weekend and a domestic total of $146.9 million.

Paging Joy! Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has electrified the box office again, scoring a sensational $100 million in its second weekend of release. Ticket sales declined just 35% from its mighty $154 million debut, resulting in the seventh-biggest sophomore outing in history and best ever for an animated film.
Notably, “Inside Out 2” added more in its second weekend than its predecessor, 2015’s “Inside Out,” earned in its $90 million opening weekend. The only movies with bigger second weekends were billion-dollar behemoths “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($149 million), “Avengers: Endgame” ($147 million) and “Infinity War” ($114 million), “Black Panther” ($111 million), “Jurassic World” ($106 million) and “The Avengers” ($103 million). At this rate, “Inside Out 2” is barreling toward the coveted $1 billion club as well.
So far, Disney and Pixar’s family-friendly sequel has grossed $355 million in North America and $724 million globally. After eight days in theaters, “Inside Out 2” surpassed “Dune: Part II” — which generated $282 million domestically...

Joyful? Ecstatic? Elated? Take your pick.
Pixar’s Inside Out 2 is on fire at the global box office, where it grossed a record-shattering $100 million domestically and $164.4 million overseas in its second weekend to finish Sunday with $724.4 million in ticket sales to become the top-grossing film of the year after racing past Dune: Part Two ($711. million).
The animated tentpole — about the emotions inhabiting a 13-year-old girl — is among only an elite handful of films that have earned $90 million or more in their second weekend of play at the domestic box office. Inside Out 2 enjoyed the biggest sophomore outing of any animated film domestically and the seventh-biggest of any film behind such behemoths as installments in the the Avengers, Star Wars and Jurassic Word series. It even earned more than Barbie, which grossed $93 million in its second outing.

Disney and Pixar have finally emerged from a hole dug by a series of box office flops! Inside Out 2 is dominating the box office and claiming a 2024 record!
Variety reports that Inside Out 2, in its second week in theaters, has now reached over $285M domestically. The opening week saw the sequel to one of Pixar’s best films rakes in around $250M.
However, the totals are still falling short (at the time of writing) of the $90M+ that The Super Mario Bros. Movie claimed last year. The long-awaited sequel did manage to outperform Dune: Part Two by a few million dollars.
Regardless, it’s good news for the animated movie genre! The good fortune may also be needed for Disney/Pixar to reevaluate its approach to future projects.
As you can see from our Charting Pixar story, the legendary animation studio really needed this win! In comparison, Pixar...

Dragon Warrior Po entertained the fans with King Fu Panda 4, and until Inside Out 2 came out, it was the highest-grossing film of the year, 2024. Po and his gang have now arrived on the Ott platforms and found one of its streaming networks, but there is a twist. It is produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. Jack Black and Bryan Cranston reprised their roles from the previous movie, and a few new actors joined the voice cast, including Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
It is the sequel to the 2016 film and was directed by Mike Mitchell. The fourth installment was written by Jonathan Aibel, Glenn Berger, and Darren Lemke. The old cast members include Black in the titular character of Po, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, James Hong as Po’s adoptive father, Mr. Ping, and Bryan Cranston as Li Shan.

Inside Out 2 continues dominating the box office in its second weekend, with Deadline reporting that the movie is looking at a $98 million weekend – some say it could even break $100 million. This would make it the highest grossing second weekend for an animated film of all time, after The Super Mario Bros Movie’s $92 million second weekend last year. Certainly, the animated sequel is shaping up to be one of Pixar’s biggest hits ever, which is quite the coup for a studio that everyone thought was on the downslide just a few months ago after a series of underperformers like Lightyear, Elemental, and more.
Meanwhile, Bad Boys: Ride or Die is holding on to second place with an $18 million-plus third weekend. The movie is turning out to be a major moneymaker for Sony, with it looking to end as the second-highest-grossing Bad Boys movie of all time, just below...

It’s still all smiles for “Inside Out 2” as Disney and Pixar’s animated sequel continues to dominate box office charts in its second weekend. The emotional motion picture added $30.5 million on Friday, bumping its domestic haul to $285.7 million. That’s enough to surge past “Dune: Part Two” ($282 million) to become the highest-grossing North American release of 2024 so far — and with only eight full days in theaters.
What’s more, “Inside Out 2” has a shot at another record, with the potential to land the biggest second weekend ever for an animated film. That currently goes to last spring’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which coined $92.3 million in its sophomore frame. Whether or not it can get there, it’s still a huge success for Disney and Pixar and a more-than-welcome hit after the summer season kicked off with a series of underperformers.

Inside Out 2 is showing no signs of slowing down as it shatters more records in its second weekend.
Among other feats, the Pixar film has passed up Dune: Part Two to become the top-grossing film of 2024 at the domestic box office with $285.6 million in ticket sales through Friday, only its eighth day in release. (The Dune sequel topped out at $282.1 million domestically.)
In North America, the animated tentpole grossed a mighty $30.5 million on Friday, meaning it could now earn a whopping $93 million to $103 million in its sophomore outing at the domestic box office, the biggest second weekend of all time for an animated film and the seventh-biggest among any film. Few movies pony up $90 million or more in their second weekend; Barbie was the last one to do so when raking in $93 million in summer 2023.
Pixar’s 20th feature film is also a powerhouse overseas, putting its worldwide total at $545 million through Friday.

The year has been quite monumental for a lot of films, while some have performed exceptionally well and others not so much. The same theory goes for Pixar, which used to be a success machine for creating high-quality and commercially successful movies. However, the back-to-back failures of Lightyear and Elemental put the American animation studio in the backseat.

But with Inside Out 2, the studio has once again regained its much-deserved spot and has also achieved a significant feat. Not only did the studio manage to mint out a highly successful movie, but it also dethroned Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part 2 at the box office.
The triumph of Inside Out 2 over Dune: Part 2
It’s safe to say that Pixar, which was in the past reeling from Lightyear and Elemental’s failure, has completely turned around thanks to Inside Out 2’s box office triumph.

Ok, we’re going to keep it 100 with you: No credible movie awards contenders are being released on streaming or VOD this week. It happens sometimes. We’re between awards seasons, and Netflix’s movie of the week is lowbrow even by Netflix action movie standards. So our top pick for an awards contender to watch this week is HBO’s “Slave Play. Not a Movie. A Play.” Not because it’s a likely contender for the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special Emmy — it’s too abstract for that — but because it’s about a former Tony contender.

If Adam Aron seems perturbed this weekend, it’s not about the box office (or even his company’s meme stock) this time.
On Thursday, Netflix took a page out of AMC’s playbook and launched its own popcorn line: Netflix Now Popping. The streamer has teamed up with Popcorn Indiana for its new ready-to-eat (no microwaving) products, now available nationwide at Walmart stores. Guess where AMC’s popcorn has been sold exclusively for more than a year? Right. Walmart is the biggest retailer in the country, and its shelves are precious real estate. Aron must be losing his mind.
AMC Theatres’ branded popcorn comes in both ready-to-eat and un-popped form. Its flavors are Classic Butter, Extra Butter, and low-sodium option Lightly Salted. Netflix’s popcorn features flavors like Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle Corn and Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle Corn. We’re not exactly swooning over either of those names; AMC...

Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” (Disney) grossed $254 million in its first seven days in U.S. and Canadian theaters. By as early as Saturday, it will best “Dune: Part Two” (Warner Bros.) as 2024’s biggest success, and by Sunday, the film should reach at least $315 million.
The surprisingly strong animated sequel (top industry projections gave it a shot at $300 million) now looks certain to gross at least $500 million for its run. That would make it the sixth to do so since theaters reopened.
Buttressed by summer vacation and the mid-week Juneteenth holiday, the seven-day total is $14 million better than “Super Mario Bros.,” and stunningly only $4 million below “Barbie.” But at this point, odds are against “Inside Out 2” equaling “Mario” ($574 million), much less reaching “Barbie” ($636 million). But to be even talking about getting close is an incredible accomplishment for Disney’s Pixar unit, which since Covid struck, has not managed...

Believe it: “Thelma” is the first leading role in the great character actress June Squibb’s four-decade screen career.
The 94-year-old star, whose guileless way in any movie suggests an actor who shows up to set and hits her mark without any fuss, feels ubiquitous in our screen lifetime. Since earning her SAG card in the 1980s and impressing in small roles on TV and film through the ’90s, she received the Oscar nomination that changed everything in 2014 as Will Forte’s cantankerous, tombstone-flashing mother in “Nebraska.” Squibb also played Lena Dunham’s ailing grandmother, spouting barbs from her deathbed, in HBO’s “Girls.” And she’s had roles in “The Big Bang Theory,” “Bones,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Good Girls,” and recently lent her voice to “Inside Out 2” as Nostalgia. Basically, if you need a granny who shirks nonsense for wisdom, and is a reassuring presence in spite of blunt truths,...

Ana Gasteyer, Tony Hale, Dulé Hill, Gillian Jacobs Jim Rash and Sasheer Zamata are set to star in a live reading of Beverly Hills, a soap opera written by TVLine founder and Spoiler Alert author Michael Ausiello when he was 13.
Adding an element of surprise, the actors will get to read the script for the first time when they take the stage on July 16 at Los Angeles’ Hayworth Theater (aka Dynasty Typewriter). Proceeds from the event, which will be live-streamed, will benefit The Trevor Project.
Per the description: “Back in the ‘80s, when Ausiello was a closeted gay pubescent living in small-town New Jersey, he penned 517 episodes of a daytime soap opera, titled Beverly Hills. Miraculously, he saved every handwritten script. The event on July 16, which has a roughly 80-minute running time,...

Together, they talk the challenges of working with motorcycles and the joys of working with such stars as Jodie Comer! Tom Hardy! Austin Butler! Mike Faist! Paramount Pictures and director John Krasinski struck gold in 2018 with the blockbuster horror flick "A Quiet Place." Working from an original concept by screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the film became an unexpected smash hit, paving the way for a new franchise that is still going strong. So strong that the studio has decided to offer up a prequel in the form of "A Quiet Place: Day One." With an appealing cast and an interesting hook, it appears as though this is going to break the genre's rough streak at the box office in 2024 to become the year's first major horror hit.
Paramount's "A Quiet Place" prequel is currently eyeing an opening in the $42 to $51 million range when it hits theaters next weekend, per Box Office Theory. That is pretty much in line with early tracking, which had the film taking in $40 million or more, according to Deadline.
