As Sugarland singer, solo artist and Cma Country Christmas host, Jennifer Nettles already knows how to put on a show. But taking on Broadway has been a challenge unlike any other, the singer admits. "I'm working my ass off and my feet hurt, but I'm having a ball," Nettles tells People of preparing for her Broadway debut on Feb. 2, playing Roxie Hart in Chicago (get a sneak peek at her work above!). Nettles says learning the dance steps has been "the most unfamiliar territory," but she's been determined to master it. "I don't want to look like a hack up there,...

At this point of the year, month and week, it had better be looking a lot like Christmas.
With the much-anticipated holiday upon us, television is doing its part, presenting attractions that reflect the spirit of the season in a variety of ways ... some funny, some serious and some simply built for all-out yuletide fun. Here's a roundup of much of what's still left for viewers on the virtual Christmas tree otherwise known as a TV screen.
ABC: This year's "Cma Country Christmas" special, with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland back as host for the third consecutive year, gets a repeat Sunday, Dec. 23 -- and later that day, the Julie Andrews-starring holiday-season perennial "The Sound of Music" also returns. Monday, Dec. 24, sees repeats of the animated specials "Disney's Prep & Landing" and "Shrek the Halls." You don't expect to find a classical singer as part of a "Cma Country Christmas."
That's exactly what Katherine Jenkins enjoys about joining many country music stars on the annual ABC special airing Thursday, Dec. 20 (and repeating twice the following weekend).
The mezzo-soprano and Season 14 "Dancing With the Stars" runner-up has a new holiday album to promote -- "This Is Christmas" -- and during the two-hour show's taping last month, she liked being able to do so among such Nashville staples as Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles (back as host for the third year), Keith Urban, Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town and The Band Perry.
"I must admit that when I first got invited, I wondered if maybe they'd made a mistake," pleasant Wales native Jenkins tells Zap2it. "Actually, I was really honored when they asked. I'd always wanted to go to Nashville; it was definitely...
