Although the University around which the episode revolves is a fictional major research university in New Orleans, several scenes were filmed at the uptown campus of Tulane University, the major research university in New Orleans. The logo, school colors and signage depicted closely resemble those of Tulane University.
Breanna tells Dr. Gray that she previously studied under Doctors Tennant & Whittaker, named after actors David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker. Both actors have played the titular role of the Doctor on "Doctor Who", as the 10th, 14th and 13th Doctors, respectively.
At approximately 40 minutes in, there is overhead shot of the team heading in separate directions. This is a callback to a shot that was used twice in The Nigerian Job (2008) and once at the end of The Second David Job (2009).
