Not only it is strange to see Patrick Malahide in a wig in The One Game.

I also believe that Malahide was more than an actor for hire. He had a creative role in this production.

It is Saturday and the game has already begun. Nicholas Thorne over the course of the day does not know who is a friend or a foe.

He goes to a deserted village where he meets a strange man along the way, some kind of conjuror. When Thorne arrives at the village he is shot at. The conjuror pops up and is shot in the arm.

Later it transpires that the conjuror was part of the game. It gets Thorne thinking that just maybe his ex wife's abduction was part of the game. What if she is in league with Magnus.

Meanwhile the firm's finance director sees an opportunity to save the company and even take control.

The Arthurian theme continues. There is a joust on motorbikes. We gather that Magnus had a mental breakdown and was institutionalised for many years.

The village in this episode had hints of the iconic television series The Prisoner.
