Piranha 3D director Alexandre Aja will helm the big screen version of Joe Hill’s second novel, Horns, for Mandalay Pictures. Hill, by the way, is the oldest son of best selling author Stephen King. There is hope that the film will be shot this coming summer.
After Steven Soderbergh jumped ship from Warner Bros. big screen adaptation of the classic 60s TV spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E due to ‘creative’ differences, and George Clooney exited as well, the studio scrambled to find a replacement. The movie has been stuck in developmental hell for some time, and there was a possibility the film could get shelved again. Now word has come that Guy Richie will helm the film. It is likely that this will be his follow-up to Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. As for casting, it seems every hot male actor under the sun is being sought.
