"Stan Lee's Annihilator" is an upcoming action adventure feature from Falconer Pictures, written by "Spider-Man' creator Lee with screenwriter Dan Gilroy ("Nightcrawler"), following a martial artist (Wang Leehom) who enlists in the Us 'Super Soldier' program:
"... 'Ming' (Leehom) must choose between remaining in prison or enlist in a secret Us super soldier program. The program uses targeted genetic enhancements from various animal species. Ming chooses to undergo this nearly fatal procedure and through his extreme resolve, gained as a result of his family's tradition of practicing 'Qigong' and martial arts, he survives.
"Now, armed with remarkable abilities, he must confront a former rival with his own set of enhanced faculties. Our reluctant hero is forced not only to face his personal demons, but also to defeat the villain who will destroy everything that he knows and loves..."

Apparently a sequel of sorts to Zhang Ziyi’s 2009 film “Sophie’s Revenge”, veteran American TV director Dennie Gordon’s 2013 movie “My Lucky Star” picks up with the character as she gets involved with a suave spy and all manner of International intrigue. The guy is played by Wang Leehom, an up and coming actor who just landed the plum lead in Stan Lee’s Chinese-us superhero co-production “The Annihilator”, and can next be seen in Michael Mann’s “Cyber” with Chris Hemsworth. “My Lucky Star” has been picked up by China Lion, who will release the film on September 20th in North America on a day-and-date with Mainland China, which, I take it to mean it will arrive on U.S. screens at the same time it opens in China. Which is a rarity, and I don’t recall that happening very often with Chinese films Stateside. At the moment,...

Stan Lee might be the ultimate geek, having created or co-created the likes of Spider-Man, The Avengers, Hulk, Wolverine, X-Men and so many more superhero icons for Marvel Comics, so it's only fitting that he should host today's Super Wednesday for YouTube's Geek Week. Perhaps we should call him the Geek God?

The timeless legend champions everything superhero-related on his Stan Lee's World of Heroes YouTube channel, and he took the time to talk to ETonline about the best that his channel has to offer.
"We have both scripted and unscripted shows, and we try to offer something for everyone," says Stan, "from comic book fans with animated features like Bad Days to regular pop-culture enthusiasts looking for my opinions in Stan's Rants. We play up hero culture, the geek universe -- anything that has to do with superheroes in any way, mostly humorously, but some of the things are very serious...

Chinese/American singer, actor, and director Wang Leehom has landed the lead role in “The Annihilator”, an upcoming comic book movie that will be based on an original creation by comic book legend Stan Lee. “The Annihilator” has long been in the works, with Lee coming up with the character and going in development with it as far back as 2011. “The Bourne Legacy’s” Dan Gilroy is writing the script, which will find Wang playing “a young Chinese expatriate named Ming, who must choose between remaining in prison or enlist in a secret Us super soldier program. After a grueling gauntlet of tests and experiments, Ming survives thanks to his extreme resolve, gained as a result of his family’s tradition of practicing Qijong and martial arts.” Basically, he becomes a Chinese superhero and fights crime and, we suspect, uphold the national honor of China. Or something. The film is...

Stan Lee is known for some of the most recognizable superhero characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man and the Hulk. And after all these years, he hasn't stopped contributing to the comic book world. Lee just teamed with producer Barry Josephson (Enchanted, "Bones") to bring his latest creation, The Annihilator, to the big screen. The film is already financed at around $150 million, will be written by Dan Gilroy (The Bourne Legacy, Real Steel). "The Annihilator" tells the story of a young Chinese prisoner, Ming, who chooses to enlist in a secret Us super soldier program instead of staying in prison. The program uses targeted genetic enhancements from various animal species. Now, armed with remarkable abilities, he must confront a former rival.

Barry Josephson, producer of Enchanted and Aliens in the Attic, will produce Stan Lee's Chinese superhero movie The Annihilator. The movie is about a Chinese expatriot who makes a deal with the Chinese goverment: rather than go to jail, he'll sign up to be genetically altered for their supersoldier program. Josephson has serious kid cred as a producer, but he's also been behind one of TV's most unusual superheroes: he was the exec producer of "The Tick."
Dan Gilroy (Real Steel, The Bourne Legacy) wrote the script. The movie is being made by Magic Storm Entertainment, a compay created to make superheroes for the Asian marketplace. China's National Film Capital is helping finance the movie.

If you’ve been keeping up with the high-flying world of Stan Lee, then you know the legendary comic book writer has been trying to get a movie called “The Annihilator” made for some time now. “The Annihilator” is a new Chinese superhero character that Lee created, seemingly for the singular purpose of making a movie from it. (He’s not the first person to do this; this is pretty common nowadays with a lot of “indie” comic book publishers. It’s all about Hollywood, kids.) Anyways, in a story in THR about how the film project has added producer Barry Josephson to help out, we also get the really important news — new plot details for “The Annihilator”. It goes something like this: The Annihilator, which will be written by Bourne Legacy and Real Steel scribe Dan Gilroy, is the story of “a young Chinese expatriate named Ming, who must...

Barry Josephson is joining Stan Lee in his great journey east. The former Sony exec and independent producer has come aboard to produce The Annihilator, the Chinese superhero film from the mind of the comics legend. Josephson, who has produced Enchanted for Disney as well as the Fox series Bones in recent years, joins what will be the first project financed by a co-production deal between Magic Storm Entertainment (which counts Lee's Pow! among its partners) and the Chinese state-run National Film Capital. The Annihilator, which will be written by Bourne Legacy and Real Steel scribe Dan Gilroy, is

They're crammed with CGI and made to appeal to as many markets as possible and exploit every franchise option. But what does the future hold for the global super-movie?
With its very first words, The Avengers lays out the stall for the next phase of global blockbuster film-making. "The Tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world, a human world." Sure enough, the film's tag-team of Marvel superheroes – who have been teasingly cameoing in each other's movies in recent years – stormed together to the No 3 spot at the all-time worldwide box office. An expanded outfit breaking out into a wider universe, it seems to mirror what's happening to the blockbuster as globalisation continues to open up new markets. The China Film Group Corporation and its movie fund National Film Capital has just announced its upcoming slate at the Shanghai International Film Festival. The biggest financial commitment is to Stan Lee's* Chinese superhero project The Annihilator, but halfway down the list is a pleasant surprise for Bruce Lee fans: his screenplay The Silent Flute, left unmade at the time of his death in 1973, is set to be realised by producer Allan Hatcher. The film is described as "a $25m action fantasy, including a significant martial arts component, set in a post-apocalyptic future in which a seeker embarks on a hero's journey to a city which may have survived the apocalypse." Hatcher is moving ahead with the full support of Lee's estate.Lee planned the ambitious film as an introduction to Eastern philosophy and its contrast to Western thinking, as well as a fantastical slice of martial arts kick-assery.

Looks like Stan Lee’s latest comic book venture, the Chinese superhero “The Annihilator” has landed some pretty big guns — China. Yes, the whole country of China, apparently. In a story about Stan Lee’s many hits and misses (or misses, anyway; remember that ill-conceived “The Governator” idea?), the La Times reports that Lee’s Chinese superhero has just gotten some huge financial backing from the Asian country. …“The Annihilator” tops the inaugural list of co-productions from National Film Capital, the state-run fund-management company that draws on $422 million raised by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and other partners. Basically, “The Annihilator” has just gotten all the money it needs to make those series of comic books, movies, and what other properties Lee and his Pow! Entertainment manage to come up with for the character. Right now, though, a 3D movie (with a $100-150 million dollar budget) seems to be the priority,...
