- Capellan Rodrigo de Palomares: I am Brother Rodrigo de Palmares, chaplain to Francisco Verdugo the Inquisitor. I accompanied him on his visit to Lady Maria Francisca, also known as the orphan. Her parents died suspiciously in the jungle. She is heir to a great fortune, riches and land. Her parents were great contributors to the church. So said Father Francisco.
