This film was very well written and directed. It has been a long time since I felt like I could hear the voice of the director through film. In fact, I actually saw the film twice. The first as a movie goer and the second as an artist and person. I enjoyed it both times, but I think I "got it" the second time around. Nothing had changed about the message. Nothing had changed about the characters and more especially nothing had changed about the vision and intent of the director. I realized that I saw it differently because the lens through which I watched was different. As a person and artist, I could see through a lens of unheard words, unseen talents, unfelt feelings and lastly overcome frustrations. As the scenes unfolded, I gained a deeper understanding of the value of evolution and growth through struggle. Through the imagery of a graphic novel and the depictions of characters as either heroes or villains, the director was able to reveal problems within our society and within ourselves while at the same time allowing the audience to grow with and relate to the main character. This film definitely speaks directly to those who may need to readjust their vision and offers the reassurance we all may need at times to trust our inner artist. Well done and truly inspirational!

Loved how the movie starts off portraying the everyday people into superheros and villains. We all have them in our lives and this movie really did a wonderful job exposing them. Movie is extremely easy to relate to. Had me feeling all the emotions every character went through and had me wondering "WHATS NEXT?!!" the artwork was fantastic and tied in with every scene. Everything about this film is original. Seems like a film that was not rushed and took a lot of time and effort into making. This definitely shows .The director has done a great job capturing all of this and I will continue to look out for other films made by him. Hope to be seeing a lot more work from him.

I really enjoyed this film. This was a refreshing point of view a an artist in Hollywood with one foot in a city that can bring his dreams to life, and one in the city that he loves so much. The anticipation comes with waiting to see which city will make him, which one will possibly break him and where will he land. In the mist of it all, so many different points of view of relationships, culture and gender approached intelligently and raw. While this film may offend some and validate others, It is sure to make you take a moment to decide if you agree.
