This short was voted on for a month, competing against almost 30 other videos. The Old Standby won first place on the TubeContest website for the month of February and simultaneously broke voting records for the site itself. The team from The Old Standby was asked to return for a promotional video for another month of the year.
The commercial was shot to simulate the classic and long loved silent films.
