Sex & Nudity

  • Inori often wears revealing clothing that exposes the sides of her breasts.
  • A teen boy "accidentally" touches a teen girl's clothed breast. (it should be noted that though actually intentional, he doesn't do so to harass her and does so rather reluctantly)
  • Many people wear skin tight outfits that accentuate much of their bodies.
  • A teen girl is seen taking a shower, her buttocks and the sides of her breasts are seen.
  • Three teen girls take a bath together, and one notes how smooth another's skin looks and touches her rather suggestively.
  • A teen girl is revealed to have incestuous feelings for her own younger brother, telling him he can look at her with "adult eyes" and kissing him, though the brother is extremely uncomfortable from this.
  • A teen boy forcefully holds a teen girl down to steal her void (essentially her heart). Although not sexual in nature, it seems to resemble it somewhat.
  • A woman often wears somewhat provacative undergarments in her home, even around her adolescent son.
  • A teen girl strips down to a bikini and presses her breasts up against a teen boy she likes (he seems rather uncomfortable from this).

Violence & Gore

  • A teen boy brutally beats a woman simply for touching him. She's later seen with several bruises and blood all over her face. The boy then shoots her offscreen in front of her child.
  • About six people are bound, blindfolded, and gagged, then executed by soldiers. Loads of blood sprays.
  • Many battles throughout the series, often with tons of explosions and shooting.
  • A teen girl makes a teen boy shoot a gun, only for it to backfire and injure him, plenty of blood seen.
  • A teen boy beats another teen boy, the boy is seen with bruises and a bloody nose as a result.
  • A teen boy forcefully holds a teen girl down and steals her void (a temporary weapon made from her heart) to attack several army soldiers with it.
  • Many people are violently shot to death by guards, with plenty of blood spraying and their bloody bodies seen afterwards.
  • Several people are shot to death in a room, with one man being particularly littered with bullets. He survives this, but is then stabbed through with a knife by another man. Lots of blood.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The first half of the series, despite some serious moments, is fairly lighthearted compared to the second half, which gradually decreases the comic relief and becomes more violent and emotional.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A teen boy and teen girl are severely wounded in an explosion, with the boy seen with several burns on his body and the girl bleeding a lot. The girl then heals the teen boy before dying from blood loss.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The "Lost Christmas" incident is very sudden and destructive, with many people dying as a result.
  • A main character is killed more than halfway through the show after healing another character instead of herself. As a result, she bleeds out in his arms, then crystallizes and shatters into pieces. This scene is very emotional, especially considering how one character reacts rather violently to this.
