Deadline has learned that Fox has ordered a pilot for a reboot of the 1980s cult television series The Greatest American Hero. Dope writer and director Rick Famuyiwa penned the script, and he's also been set to direct, with The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller serving as executive producers. It's not clear though if this is the exact same Fox project that we... Read More...

On top of their Han Solo, Spider-Man, Lego and Jump Street films, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are working on time travel sitcom, In Time...
Phil Lord and Chris Miller must have a Time-Turner. Or a Tardis. Or a DeLorean. Or a Bernard’s Watch at the very least. You get the picture.
With all the projects on their slate – the Han Solo movie, overseeing The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street universes, an animated Spider-Man movie, Last Man On Earth, The Greatest American Hero, Son Of Zahn, Serial – there’s no way that the in-demand duo aren’t employing some sort of time manipulation to keep on top of it all.
They’re now channelling this experience into yet another new project – a single-camera sitcom series about time travel. It’s called In Time, and they’re said to be developing a pilot episode with The Grinder scribe Julius Sharpe for Fox.

Son Of Zahn – a live action meets animation TV comedy - is the latest project from in-demand duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller…
Phil Lord and Chris are surely the most sought-after comedy maestros in Hollywood at the moment. They’ve already got their fingers in the DC movie universe (specifically The Flash), are writing The Lego Movie Sequel, overseeing the development of a Jump Street universe, and working on their adaptation of The Greatest American Hero. They're also penning an animated Spider-Man movie for Sony.
Now, they’ve added another project to their mammoth slate – Son Of Zahn. This is a TV show that blends live action with comedy, and it's in development at Fox.
Zahn (animated) is a barbarian father who returns home from war (animated) for the first time in ten years, struggling to readapt to life with his ex-wife (live action) and son (live action).

"21 Jump Street" and "The Lego Movie" writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are two of the few people who have their hands dipped into both Marvel and DC-based comic book adaptations currently in the works.
Most notably the pair are developing both the live-action DC cinematic universe film based on "The Flash" for Warner Bros. Pictures, along with an animated "Spider-Man" feature for Sony Pictures. However, the pair have not yet committed to helm either of these projects.
Speaking with podcasters Hippojuice about both projects, Lord spoke primarily about "The Flash" adaptation and confirms that their incarnation of the character will be Barry Allen but it will Not tie in to the popular The CW series currently airing that's based on the character:
"We're trying to break a story. It's interesting, because there's a really popular TV show out there, and we're trying to carve out space for the movie that's apart from that.

Will Forte’s critically praised (and surprisingly successful) Fox comedy The Last Man on Earth ends its first season Sunday. While the former Saturday Night Live cast member created the series and serves as showrunner, superstar feature directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 22 Jump Street) have been involved with the project since its inception, serving as Forte’s chief creative partners and executive producers. And despite their busy film careers — they’re working on two Lego sequels and an adaptation of The Greatest American Hero — they’re deeply involved in the production of the show, even taking the time each Sunday to livetweet episodes as they air. Vulture caught up with Lord and Miller earlier this week to talk about season one, this week’s finale, and what’s ahead. Here are the eight things we learned from our half-hour discussion.Even they’re a little bit...
