MY ENGINE'S FRAGILE SOUND is an indie thriller made in Portugal. It seems to be modelled closely on THE SECRETS IN THEIR EYES as it has the same look and feel. The story is about a young woman who becomes drawn irresistibly into the frightening world of a serial killer thanks to her day job as a nurse. This arty production is well shot if quite dark, but the plot is ambiguous and feels stretched out into an overly long running time.

This movie is all about the raw experience.
I can truly say that is one of the most intriguing and suspenseful movies i have ever seen. Cinematography is beautiful, audio is amazing.
Characters are well modeled, the script is incredibly smart, no loose ends, no clichés, no deus- ex-machina everything just fits into place.
I can truly say that this is an 8 movie. 7.3 is too short for this experience.
All i can ask is to be left alone, cause i can feel a Hollywood remake in the works.
It has one of the most bizarre narrators of all times, the unborn child sequences are brilliant, full of warmness, and also help to unravel the continuous flow of the mystery.
This is a well executed movie, cant wait for more works from the director and team of this piece.
