Masashi Kishimoto has always been a master at what he does, hence being regarded as one of the most skilled and talented mangaka of the shonen genre. His storytelling abilities coincide with the extraordinary character designs and sketches, contributing to what makes Naruto such a well-liked series.

Be it the movies, anime, or manga, it stands in the big three for a season no one can turn a blind eye to. Such a case also justifies the fact as to why a live-action movie would work towards increasing an already massive fan following. However, it took years of practice to perfect such a piece of art.

Eventually, it became a popular manga and was adapted into anime in 1999. It went on for only four seasons and came to a sudden stop. Later, the manga was re-adapted into an anime in 2011 and gained worldwide popularity.

Note: This article was written by Jameel Raeburn. What’s the ideal starter anime? It’s the question for every anime enthusiast who is recommending a series, or an exploratory watcher curious to dive into the world of anime for the first time. However, there’s no clear answer. While anime is thankfully more accessible than it’s ever been, there are so many characters, plots, genres and themes that you might feel overwhelmed at first glance. You may turn to friends to hopefully nudge you in the right direction, but you can get thirty conflicting answers from thirty different people. The idea of what’s the perfect starter anime has been hotly debated online. In an interview with Michael B. Jordan , the actor revealed his five anime recommendations for those who haven’t watched it before. “ One Piece , Dragon Ball , Naruto , Bleach , and Hunter x Hunter ” were his responses.

Makoto Yukimura’s Vinland Saga has established itself as one of the greatest historical epic manga and anime series ever created. The mangaka has clevery infused various themes such as drama, action, and revenge. In addition to featuring complex themes, it takes Thorfinn, the series’ protagonist on a journey of avenging his father and redeeming his actions.
A still from Vinland Saga
Yukimura’s work can be labeled as a fiercely intelligent work of fiction taking place in the Viking Age, which critically comments on human nature and character. However, the whole Vinland Saga that we know, and love would have been quite different as Makoto Yukimura had different ideas for the manga. The mangaka initially pitched that the protagonist of his mangaka would be a slave, but his editor told him to change the beginning which resulted in the greatest story to be ever told.

Growing up I remember being told that anime was just a "phase" that we'd all get over. Rappers like Cochise prove that's not the case, making his love for anime known to anyone who listens to his music. "I’m a rapper out of Florida who loves to rap about cool things I experience in life, which makes anime so strong in my music," Cochise said in our interview and boy, did he mean it when he said the anime influence was strong . The shonen genre in anime is one of the most popular, as a plethora of shows reach an insane level of popularity that is hard to match. However, this genre has a gem, which is Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter. Although the series has a faltering pace, Togashi-san’s manga remains one of the most popular manga series to be ever written.
Gon and Hisoka in the Hunter Exam arc
Both the manga and the anime are commercially successful, thanks to the series’ unorthodox style of narration and world development. However, the series would not have been so popular if it followed the original storyline that the artist had initially planned out in his mental map. Moreover, the series’ editor played a key role in changing the story of our adorable protagonist in the most important arc of the series.

In 2023, Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of Hunter x Hunter, sent a letter to Iwakura and Yoshizumi’s Show, where he answered a bunch of questions that were asked of him by former Sakurazaka46 member Yumiko Seki about the show, its characters, its ending, and Togashi’s process of creating one of the greatest anime and manga series of all time.

One of the questions was about what Hunter x Hunter fans consider the most emotional scene in the series. It involved the death of Meruem, the main antagonist of the Chimera Ant arc, and Komugi, his only companion. In both of his renowned works, there has been an exceptional display of skill as a writer as well as an artist. However, what is more eye-catching than anything else is the attention to detail put into the character designs.

Togashi has a special style that makes him different from other manga creators. As said by Jason Thompson, who is a critic for manga, Togashi’s first one-shot works were a mixture of comedy set in school and allusions to horror movies. This showed the flexibility and imaginative sight of Togashi.
At the age of 24, Togashi made a significant step forward with the introduction of YuYu Hakusho, a series combining supernatural elements and fighting comedy that was well-received by readers.

Yoshihiro Togashi will go down in history as one of the most underrated mangaka ever. He had a glorious career but never reached his peak due to his recurring back pain. Most people who have come into contact with the state of the manga and anime industry will know that it is a very competitive, not to say brutal, environment and that surviving the conditions requires a lot of effort, as a lot of people are unable to handle the pressure, stress, and working conditions. If you remember, many mangaka have stopped working on their projects or have been taking long hiatuses due to health issues related to the brutal working conditions. Yoshihiro Togashi is a household name in the anime and manga industry. He is the man behind two of the fan-favorite manga of all time – Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter. Even though he is the creator of such great manga, he had to hurry with the first one’s ending, and for the second one, it is one long hiatus.
Yoshihiro Togashi has been suffering from back pain for a long time, and as a result, he was unable to complete the Hunter x Hunter manga. During the first movie release of Hunter x Hunter, the mangaka gave an exclusive interview and explained his views on the movie. Apart from that, he also mentioned the changing manga industry and would be fine with a live adaptation.

Spoilers for "Godzilla x Kong" to follow.
The MonsterVerse movies not only have a consistent naming approach (which makes it easier to determine the order in which to watch them) but its titles are also inspired by those of the Toho "Godzilla" films. You have "King of the Monsters," which is the 1956 localized title of the original "Godzilla" film. You have a "vs." title inspired by many of the Showa era "Godzilla" movies with "Godzilla vs. Kong," and of course, the first movie is simply known as "Godzilla."
Then there's "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," the new '80s buddy-cop-inspired MonsterVerse film. The "x" in the title is a weird choice, one that is open to various different interpretations. In the world of anime, there are very few characters who can compare themselves to the might of Son Goku from the famous Dragon Ball series by Akira Toriyama. He is considered to be one of the strongest characters in the anime industry. Not only that but many other characters in the anime world have been inspired by the Dragon Ball protagonist.

Throughout the wide world of manga and anime, several storylines recur in many different series. The Jeju Island Arc from Solo Levelling and the Chimaera Ant Arc from Hunter × Hunter, have often been compared by fans, which is down to several reasons. With a gap of nearly ten years, Yoshihiro Togashi wrote Hunter X Hunter, a manga, while Chugong published Solo Leveling, a Korean webtoon.
Solo Leveling
Hunter x Hunter and Solo Leveling’s portrayal of strong explorers known as “Hunters” share many similarities, the creation of ant-like organisms that quickly grow into powerful, intelligent beings is the subject of both storylines, the two however differ in terms of the overall structure and depth of the plot.
Origin of the Species
The Chimaera arc is one of Hunter X Hunter’s most captivating stories. The initial appearance points of both species are the first resemblance between the two arcs.

Netflix seems to be making the same mistake every big studio does — jumping the gun to launching big franchises and cinematic universes out of untested hits.
According to Bloomberg, the streamer is already developing a spin-off of "Wednesday," this time focused on Fred Armisen's Uncle Fester. This news comes before production even begins on "Wednesday" season 2. Granted, as Guillermo del Toro has sadly taught us all, just because something is said to be in development doesn't mean it will get to see the light of day. Still, the Bloomberg report says Netflix is "eager to establish a pipeline of 'Addams Family' programs to build off the success of 'Wednesday.'" This means that if this one doesn't work, they still have other ones to try out, as the streamer apparently wants to Dark Universe "The Addams Family."
