Jack McMullen will take the lead role of Paul Varderman in The Knife That Killed Me, a gripping and tragically topical story of one boy’s spiral into knife-crime.
20 year old Jack (represented by David Daly Associates) from Merseyside, plays Finn Sharkey in Waterloo Road and also starred in the indie feature Seamonsters, premiering at film festivals this year. He was also on our screens at Christmas in the ITV drama Fast Freddie. He started acting as a child with regular roles in Brookside and Grange Hill.
The casting call for the lead role was posted on Screenterrier back in October 2011, as well an additional call for Yorkshire-based actors in January.
The script has been adapted from Anthony McGowan’s award winning novel by Kit Monkman and Marcus Romer, who will also direct, and is being produced by Thomas Mattinson and Alan Latham.
