Artemis and Green Arrow approach a zeta-tube location, the outward appearance of which is a blue police box. This is a clear reference to the TARDIS from Doctor Who (1963).
Peter David, author of the original "Young Justice" comic, wrote {Insecurity (#1.23)}. The opening of {Insecurity (#1.23)} features an assassination attempt on "Mr. Jones," while his young, blonde daughter looked on, impressed by Green Arrow & Artemis. David's comic version of the YJ team featured the blonde archer Arrowette, aka Cissie King-Jones, one of the inspirations for Artemis.
Green Arrow and Red Arrow stop a robbery at Save-Big. This is a reference to the Justice League (2001) episode "Initiation", Green Arrow's debut in the DCAU, in which he stopped an armed robbery with a variety of trick arrows. Afterwards, John Stewart inducted him into the League, which mirrors Green Arrow telling Red Arrow that he has been accepted into the League.
Green Arrow and Red Arrow respond to a police radio call of an armed robbery at the corner of Weisinger & Papp. This is an homage to Mort Weisinger and George Papp, the editor and artist who co-created Green Arrow.
