- Having lived an isolated life, Doremi spent a large part of his childhood immersed in the magical world of a traveling cabaret showcase. His only imaginary friend and confident, a talking puppet that he has named Toloncho. He is the son of a young, beautiful and talented artist: Armelle Dupont. His dream is to perform as a singer on the stage to follow in the footsteps of his mother. However he is seen as a nuisance, especially in the eyes of Victor, the master of ceremony. When an unexpected accident occurs during a show, Armelle dies in a hospital. The tyrannical Victor leaves the boy behind with the caretakers at the hospital, where he slowly falls into a catatonic state induced by the shock of his mothers' tragic death.
Twelve years later, Doremi unexpectedly awakens and enters a dreamlike world where reunites with Toloncho, who is now a living human size puppet. Toloncho becomes Doremis guide as he ventures deep into his subconscious. An introspective journey where he will be exposed to the memories of his childhood, the discovery of new emotions, the abuse that Victor imposed on him and Armelle, raising doubts and queries that Toloncho can only partly answer. Doremi will have to find the answers himself, venturing further into his dreams.
