- Dawn Chamberlain: Well, you're welcome to stay as long as you'd like.
- Henry Chamberlain: That's gracious of you, being it's my home.
- Faye Chamberlain: With you here, our powers are magnified - and it's awesome, but we have to practice a little. Has Diana gotten to you yet about the binding circle?
- Cassie Blake: Not yet.
- Faye Chamberlain: Just say no. It is exactly what we don't want to do.
- Cassie Blake: Why not?
- Faye Chamberlain: It links us together, all six of us. We won't have individual power. It'll become a fascist circle with control freak Diana as dictator - and I don't want someone telling me what to eat for lunch, much less what parade I can rain on, you know?
- Faye Chamberlain: More power requires more practice.
- Cassie Blake: You started a monsoon and couldn't stop it.
- Faye Chamberlain: Can we all just let that go?
- Henry Chamberlain: There was a time for witchcraft. That time is long gone. There's no place for it in this world anymore.
- Diana Meade: Do I have anything to worry about with you and Cassie?
- Adam Conant: Why would you ask that?
- Diana Meade: Because I'm insecure... and I love you.
- Diana Meade: [reading] Fire, earth, metal, air, water and blood - by these elements we bind the circle and follow in the footsteps of our ancestors who pledged themselves to fight against the forces of darkness. When evil assails us, when fear weakens us, when descent threatens us, in the circle we will find our power. We come to this place alone but leave bound as one. With this oath our journey begins together. Do you accept the circle?
- Cassie Blake: [muttering, to the bare-chested young man in the bedroom window opposite hers:] Please... Do you own a shirt?
- [tries spell:]
- Cassie Blake: Okay, curtains, you can close now.
- [but nothing happens]
- Cassie Blake: Close, now!
- [causes his window pane to come crashing down, and he jumps away, startled]
- Diana Meade: [on the quad] Hey.
- Melissa Glaser: Diana, what happened?
- Diana Meade: Adam took the blame. He said he mixed the chemicals and miscalculated the chloride.
- Faye Chamberlain: And Mr. Herman believed him?
- Diana Meade: He couldn't explain it any better. Faye, we got lucky. No one was hurt. Now, when are you gonna get it through your head, we have to bind the circle.
- Faye Chamberlain: Have fun.
- Diana Meade: [to Melissa] Can't you talk to her?
- Melissa Glaser: [to Faye] Maybe we should bind it. I don't like a this stray energy floating around.
- Faye Chamberlain: [adamantly] No. Not if it means we'll be linked. I don't want you to have a say in what I do. I - I don't want you to control me.
- Diana Meade: But we'll have more strength as a group, and can use it better.
- Faye Chamberlain: For what, world peace? Are we gonna save the turtles? Why can't we just enjoy it?
- Diana Meade: Because it's selfish and dangerous.
- Faye Chamberlain: Yes, and I'm good with that. In fact, I'm *great* with it.
- [goes off on her way]
- Cassie Blake: Does it always feel like last night?
- Adam Conant: There's always a physical reaction.
- Cassie Blake: You know what I mean.
