A lavish fancy dress party is thrown, it's a chance for Cheryl to apologise for recent problems with the trust's funds, but Alice and Cheryl have decided it's time to bring events to an end, and to stop playing by the rules.
Powerful, this drama has transformed as it's gone on, this final episode was incredibly over the top and wild, but underneath the elaborate window dressing, was a very powerful message.
Hugely relevant right now, when you consider the revelations from the last few years, you saw a picture of some of the faces, people you thought would never be taken down.
I must just point out one thing, I applaud them for adding in some very positive male characters, the future husband and dad are great, and it's important to show that some men are decent, it's too often overlooked in shows these days, where it's very often bad men only.
There are a couple of humorous moments here, that scene where Rob runs off to Gloria is a scream, and it needed the odd lighter touch, as it was a particularly tough theme it dealt with.
Petrie delivers an awesome showing here, I've seen him put in some fine performances over the years, but his showing here was outrageously good.
A very satisfying end.
9/10.
