Being an animated film, Mike J. McAllister used shots from Boogie Nights (1997), Hostel (2005), and Midsommar (2019) as artistic references for some of the more violent moments. A shot from the Zucker Brothers comedy BASEketball (1998) was also used as a visual reference for a particularly violent shot.
The shirtless tattooed shooting victim in the film has a tattoo featuring the characters of director Mike J. McAllister's animated pilot The Brain Teasers (2020).
