- The second part of On Air's 2021 Classical Series saw Johannes Vogel and the Synchron Stage Orchestra's performance of Antonin Dvorák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor. That full performance is available to watch now On Demand in 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos. Captured in Vienna's state-of-the-art Synchron Stage recording facility, and performed by the 60-piece Synchron Stage Orchestra (40 strings, 9 woodwind, 9 brass, 2 percussion), Dvorák's New World Symphony is one of the most famous works in classical music history. Filled with the spirit of modernism whilst also paying homage to tradition, it fizzes with hope and joy, and is uplifting throughout. The 2021 Classical Series also saw performances of Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor (available On Demand here) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C major (Jupiter Symphony) (available On Demand here). Speaking about the performances, Johannes Vogel said: "These symphonies are linked as they are the last and most famous symphonies written by their composers. They also each ring with hope, which is exactly what we need in the ongoing crisis. I have chosen these symphonies as they each show us the remarkable capabilities of the human mind; what we can achieve through our creativity and positivity to make the world a better place to live in. There are always ways to shape how we live despite our circumstances, and music has the power to provide the light, clarity, and insight that is needed to help us move forward."
