The Marriott hotel chain is getting into the movie business with "Spider-Man" and "Grimm" stuntmen William Spencer and Caine Sinclair cast in the lead roles in the company's first short film "Two Bellmen".
Produced by Marriott Content Studio, the company aims to reach more consumers though branded content. The story deals with two bellmen as they thwart a heist at a private art event. Jade Raybin penned the script.
Daniel 'Malakai' Cabrera will direct the project and co-wrote the script with Jade Raybin. Henry Simmons ("Agents of Shield”), Miles Brown ("Black-ish”), Sophina Brown ("The Good Wife”), Josue Figueroa ("Step Up: Revolution”), Josue Antonio (the "Step Up” franchise), Taryn Southern ("The Single Life”) and Stephen Boss ("So You Think You Can Dance”) also star.
Set primarily around the downtown Los Angeles Jw Marriott, filming is slated to begin on January 5th and will run for a week. A theatrical and VOD release is planned.

Nickelodeon has found its new School of Rock star. Actor-comedian Tony Cavalero will take on the role of Dewey Finn played by Jack Black in its upcoming live-action TV series, the network announced Thursday. Cavalero, who is currently a member of L.A.'s improv comedy troupe The Groundlings, has had roles in Modern Family, 2 Broke Girls, Hart of Dixie and Adam Devine’s House Party. CW Seed might be less than a year old, but they have already found success in the world of the Internet. The online platform has announced 6 new series that will kick off this summer, as well as the return of a few fan favorites. Perhaps some of the biggest new series will be the Veronica Mars spin-off series Play It Again, Dick and Whose Line Is It Minis.
We will also see the return of series The P.E.T. Squad Files, CelebTV on CW, Husbands, and Very Mallory. Those series will air new episodes later on this year.

Zooey Deschanel and Dbg are teaming up for season two of The Single Life. Digital Broadcasting Group is launching the show on HelloGiggles.com, a web portal founded last year by Deschanel along with her producing partners Sophia Rossi and Molly McAleer, who will serve as creative consultants on the project. The Single Life is a web comedy series that takes a look at the sometimes tumultuous, but always hilarious world of online dating. The series stars Taryn Southern and Jeremy Searle, who return as Lisa and Kip with a new set of digital challenges, now a year after their first online love connection.
