TLC loves programming threads. It used to have lots of shows about families with boatloads of children, though it has slimmed down on that thread. It also has its wedding-dress thread, its hoarders thread, its Amish thread. And, The Weinstein Company hopes, it will soon have a trailer park thread. Today, TWC announced it is renaming its doing-okay-but-not-a-hit TLC reality series Welcome To Myrtle Manor, which will henceforth be known as Trailer Park: Welcome To Myrtle Manor, starting with its second season. TWC says it’s making this change in order to spawn lots of trailer park spinoffs, set in other U.S. locations. Ginning up more ratings would help too, but that’s another story, and we hear they’ve tweaked the show for next season. “The Trailer Park spinoffs that we’re developing promise to bring new twists on the same types of lovable, zany characters and entertaining scenarios,...

Lifetime is further expanding the Project Runway franchise with Under The Gunn, a 13-episode new fashion series starring Project Runway co-host Tim Gunn, produced by Runway‘s Bunim/Murray and The Weinstein Co. and featuring Runway alumni. As for Gunn, who just won an Emmy with Runway co-host Heidi Klum, the new show, which premieres on January 16, does not mean a departure from the mothership series, on which he will carry on with his duties. This marks the third Project Runway offshoot on Lifetime, including Project Runway All Stars, now in its third season, and Project Accessory, which ran for one cycle. On Under The Gunn, Runway alumni Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos will be tasked with mentoring and managing a fashion empire with 15 new up-and-coming designers under their watch. Each mentor will have a team of designers they must manage, coach, cheerlead and, when necessary, knock down...

Molly Sims, time to paint the nursery blue! The model, actress and host of Project Accessory announced Tuesday on CBS' The Talk that she and husband Scott Stuber are expecting a little boy. Sims' hubby's reaction to finding out the baby's gender? "He is so happy," she gushed. "I know he would have been so excited with a girl but he is such a sports freak." In February, Sims, 38, told E! News that if she did have a son, she would "want him to play sports and stuff, but also to be sensitive." Somehow we think this model mama will raise her little boy right.

HollywoodNews.com: After a recent plea to the MPAA by Bully teen Alex Libby and The Weinstein Company (TWC) Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein failed – by one vote – to get the film its deserved PG-13 rating, TWC is choosing to move forward with releasing the film unrated by the MPAA on March 30.
Furthering proof that the R rating for some language is inappropriate for a film that’s meant to educate and help parents, teachers, school officials and children with what’s become an epidemic in schools around the country, the fight against the rating continues on. The outpour of support by politicians, schools, parents, celebrities and activists for the film’s mission to be seen by those it was made for – children – has been overwhelming. Nearly half a million people have signed Michigan high school student and former bullying victim Katy Butler’s petition on Change.org to urge the MPAA to lower the rating.

Although due with her first child in June, Molly Sims is already feeling the heat when it comes to planning a nursery.
“My friend told me she ordered the entire catalog of Restoration Hardware,” the Project Accessory host, 38, told People Saturday at the launch of Diane Von Furstenberg’s GapKids + Dvf collection in Los Angeles.
“I thought, ‘Should I do that?’ Yeah, I’m starting it.”
But with no central focus to work from — “I don’t really like themes,” she admits — the mom-to-be has enlisted a few experts to help create her ideal baby room.

Dimension Films have announced the hiring of screenwriter Matt Lieberman to pen a remake of the 1986 cult favorite Short Circuit. An Honors film grad from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Lieberman wrote a draft of the Doctor Dolittle sequel Doctor Dolittle: First Dog, and another couple projects that have never gone into production, including Disney's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. He's a graduate of the Disney screenwriting program, and has uncredited worked on a bunch of the Disney live-action film projects from the past few years. Despite my jab headline, Lieberman seems like an up-and-comer. He is set to work closely with director Tim Hill (Hop, Alvin and the Chipmunks). The press release says that "details of the new take are currently being kept under wraps" but its pretty obvious that they are aiming for something much tamer than the original film. It is very clear...

Mom-to-be Molly Sims is undoubtedly counting down the weeks until her honeymoon baby is born - but so far, her new addition is hardly making an appearance. Dressed casually in workout pants and sneakers, a four-months-pregnant Sims, 38, barely showed a bump as she shopped for groceries in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Jan. 4, just days before she and husband Scott Stuber announced her pregnancy. Sims, who formerly starred on Las Vegas and now hosts Lifetime's Project Accessory, is due in late June.

After its first season, "Project Accessory" (Thu., 10 p.m. Est on Lifetime) has found its winner. The "Project Runway" spin-off focused on clothing accessories, like handbags, shoes and jewelry. From a pool of twelve contestants, the tasks whittled it down to the final two, and they brought two completely different approaches to their design work.
Host and judge Molly Sims described 26-year old Nina Cortes' accessories as "the most sellable." She felt they were beautiful and expressed Cortes' point of view as a designer perfectly. On the opposite end of the spectrum, 40-year old Brian Burkhardt took big creative risks with some of his design choices.
