This short film is remarkable. I had the amazing opportunity to sit in at the premiere in Vancouver and I loved the film. Without giving too much away, Stanley is a down on his luck average Joe looking for a way out but he can't even manage to 'pull the trigger' on his own suicide. So he hires Frank, a denim-clad (with a cowboy hat to boot) hit-man and hilarity ensues.
The most amazing features of this film I would argue are its visual bleakness, the perfectly timed editing style and the over all humour that blossoms out of such dark material.
Seriously if you get a chance to watch this short film take my word and see it. Also keep an eye on the three filmmakers behind this beautiful project because I expect their names to be appearing in popular films for years to come.
