my opinion

In all my life, I have not seen a series or a complete movie, a drama of this degree, an episode worth a thousand series, very creative, a sad ending, but very satisfying.

Wow..

Too hard to put in to emotion.

A very spectacular episode. One of the best episodes thus far.

Can't believe the ending is here. Only one episode remains. One of the best most pure in the feels shows I've ever seen. There's just no way anything can beat this. Amazing cast and writers.

10/10.

No word could ever do justice to this episode

Warning: Spoilers
I have no words, just like Randall.

Saying goodbye to one of the best TV characters was heart wrenching. This is a PERFECT episode. I swear I haven't seen a show that portrayed death as beautifully and poetically as This is Us.

This episode was a piece of art, from seeing Rebecca's life ride, meeting the people she loved and cared about, waiting for Kate to arrive, and finding Jack at the end of the ride. I have never cried like this before.

Everything ends.... Everything Dies

......I'm speechless. I don't even know what else to say..... Bravo to the writers and their attention to every detail of this fabulous episode.

"If something is so sad when it ends, it must have been so wonderful...." William Hill (I'm paraphrasing....)

The. Best. Episode. Of. This. Is. Us.
elliottremblay18 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The episode ended 25 minutes ago, and I'm still crying and shaking my hands. Listening to this episode with my mom emotionally destroyed me. Never in my entire life have I been so affected by a film production, whether it's a movie or a TV series.

The penultimate episode of This Is Us was part of one of the most brilliant screenplay concerts I've had the chance to see, the analogy of the train, between life that never stops, and the different compartments, mixing all the age groups of Rebecca's children, with at its peak Jack, the love of her life and the father of her children. Dotted with a thousand references to everything that forged the incredible and determined mother that is Rebecca Pearson. All accompanied by the wisest man of his life. I firmly believe that this episode will mark the minds of all those who have taken the patience to get to this part of the end of the history of this great family.

All the characters were present, all the defining moments of Rebecca's life. This Is Us is the great fresco of the life of this woman, this mother, and it is rare to have the chance to witness a story so long, so detailed, so complex, but which fits together so perfectly that it is all the more satisfying and breathtaking. I can't thank Dan Folgeman enough for undertaking this story and for bringing along this great team that made possible one of my favorite series, This Is Us.

Until death, I will cherish this story that made me realize how much those I chose to be my family, and also those I didn't choose, matter to me. I will love my loved ones, and I will take care of them. Until the end of us.

They got it right
justw-6324818 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
An incredible balance between the expected and the unexpected.

Was great to see the likes of William and Dr. Katowski one last time. Incredible to see another layer to Jack's story. So many little easter eggs to for This is Us fans.

They got it right, and I have no doubt the finale will get it right as well.

I can just hope that one day, I'll be an old man, talking a young man's ear off, explaining to him that I took the sourest lemon life had to give, and turned it into something resembling lemonade.

You just need to let it go, here's a tissue.
aeslehcevoli18 May 2022
Let me start by saying I'm a two in face, stabbed in the neck, blood everywhere kinda guy when it comes to my TV shows, but bloody hell TIU has been amazing.

I was never going anywhwere near this, nagged for ages so joined late, yes sorry I'm embarassed about that now.

What an amazing episode, and I mentioned before re Miguel how they craft these episodes together. This was just brilliant and not what I was expecting. The power of TV summed up on a train ride.

I mean really, did we just watch a masterclass or what?

It was beautiful, each train carriage stuffed full of emotion, it was really hard to keep it together watching this, which begs the questiion.

Have I watched a more emotional episode? GoT Hold the Door and Six Feet Under finale left me in bits, but this bad boy, well it got really ugly by the end.

My wife said 'you just need to let it go, here's a tissue' and I certainly did.

A lovely ending to life.
crowbatears18 May 2022
The visuals are genius, the music is perfect, her death was perfect for her. I love how it tied in Rebecca's life perfectly. This episode is flawless. As a person who has known many who have died from dementia. It's painfully accurate to watch them deteriorate. I love this episode and the last few for still displaying Rebecca's beauty even as she slows down.

This episode gives me more closure with all the family I've lost to dementia.

I've been a frequent critic of TIU..but this...!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is one of the best I've seen on TV. So well written without the Schmultz. The focus on the Big 3 was great because after all the show was about them. The train idea was beautiful with all the little nods to Jack before we see him. The fact that Jack gave his life to someone who cures Alzhemers was a bit clichéd but we can forgive them!!

Ugly Face Crying
I pretty much sobbed throughout this whole episode that I had to pause it several times to get through it all. What an amazing penultimate episode to a series that has kept us putting puzzle pieces together for years. I so hope this will be always be ranked up there with the highest rating episodes of any series for years to come. A masterpiece.

Perfect.
cerynrowntree18 May 2022
Like so many I've been a fan of this show from start to finish, and in fairness the past few episodes have been incredible. But this one was perfect.

The call backs, cameos, and loose end tie-ups made it a love letter to the fans, but for me the most important thing was that this was a love letter to family, to mothers, and to Rebecca Pearson. And what a perfect love letter it was.

Now someone please give Mandy Moore ALL of the awards!

One of the best shows on TV

Warning: Spoilers
My wife and I have been watching this series from the beginning. And I have to say that this episode is about the best I've ever seen on TV. Very heartfelt, moving and very well written and acted. I just can't say enough. I was by my mom's bedside as she passed, so this episode brought that experience to the fore. Such bittersweet memories.

What about Miguel?!
sxylipsdiva13 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So i have finished this whole series. I'm fine with all of it.

Except this episode train ride Rebecca takes and it's Miguel's moment with her....what was that? Like a blip!!! A speck. She was married to the man for 30 years at least and that's all he gets is a blip?!?! I get that she lost Jack and he was obviously a huge part of her life, father of her kids, love of her life...but Miguel deserved more. They did loved each other and were in love until their dying breath. Wtheck:// Yes, I'm kinda mad about their story and how that ended😑 #ThisIsUs #MiguelGotSnubbed.

#NoOnePutsMiguelInTheCorner.

Whose point of view was the train scenario?
roni-lubliner18 May 2022
To me, this was the worst episode of the series. I love the show but the unrealistic melodrama was disappointing. Contrasting this with the Miguel episode which was the best episode. I found none of this believable. The woman had Alzheimers so whose point of view was the train arc? And why Randall's Father as the Leader? Makes no sense. Too much Fantasy license here around Rebecca's death.

No word is worthy to describe, Masterpiece in drama series.
wisamo-9219 May 2022
All previous episodes of this series, despite their splendor,on one hand, and this episode that exceeds description on the other hand. I think This year's Emmy Awards must be for this exceptional work. It's the most compelling and influential story ending of the series ever.

Having lost my beloved mother to Alzheimer's disease I was apprehensive about watching Rebecca's passing. All I can say is that this episode is a sublime masterpiece. I truly hope Mandy Moore gets her Emmy!

"It's Quite sad isn't it? The End"
ldochnenko19 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is Us has to be the most well written TV show I have ever watched. This episode in particular was beautiful from the first few moments right to that very last word "Hey" how this episode was filmed mostly through Rebecca's eyes was incredible. I can under stand why Mandy Moore said she vomited after reading the script for this episode. It was exquisitely done and is everything's tv show is about!

Next to Last E[pisode
shelbythuylinh20 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have both my maternal grandparents that have succumb to Alzheimer's or Dementia. Really the three of the Pearson children as hard as it may be, but that really they knew the ending was coming.

Kate was going to a big time music conference but she has been nothing but loyal out of the three Pearson children to her mother there. Despite also having the power of attorney and care for their mother there.

Showing Rebecca on a train that was like heaven and how her life had so much meaning to the surviving children and how she knows that she in heaven and the surviving children will have to move on as hard as it will be.

Bring the hankies next week as it will be the finale.

Great metaphor of the realities of life
fersiaf18 May 2022
I must say this episode pretty sums up all the good things we like about this TV series. This series focused on life and what really happens in it. Rebecca on that train is a beautiful depiction of what I hear happens when someone is nearing passing on - the flash backs. The characters really do have their own stories to tell and with each story comes this a bit of a heartache cos this has made you feel good in one way or another. I also love how this series until the end stick on its theme of the role of memories in one's life, like for each episode there is this accompanying life story that goes with the current experience. This is already sad, how much more will the last episode be? I think I am not ready for it.

Another one gets pregnant and settles
wissia21 May 2022
This is a show about a family but surely not everyone needs to marry their childhood sweetheart and get pregnant as their main life goals? One thing about this is us I always disliked is the lack of variety. Fundamentally, these characters do not just share the same values, they seem to believe there is only just way of embodying those values - that is by leading life in a certain way. Everyone's welcome professional accomplishments are always ranked second compared to the only thing that matters; settling and becoming a parent. Boring.

I hate these writers
HelloBlockbuster18 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I hate them, so hard. As in, I hate how good they are. I am already having anxiety about the next (and final) episode.

The only predictable moments of this episode, were that Kate would get there and that Jack would be the last face Rebecca saw on the train. (Because the writers would have really done an injustice to the show, characters, and viewers had they not.)

I actually loved the twist about character Marcus Brooks-and the writers' abilities to reduce us to tears over a new character with just a sliver appearance. Further, I love that actor Dule Hill was in this episode as Marcus' father.

This was just a sweet send off for Rebecca. That said, I feel the Big Three didn't get enough time to say much to Rebecca-so I'm thinking some of that may show up in the final episode.

Perfect episode
miracles-asa18 May 2022
How do you define a perfect episode? This episode contains everything the strong bonding, the unique stories that you can relate too plus this has similarities with Newton's third law that for every action there is an equal an opposite reaction!! The character development is outstanding along with the emotions developed by each characters. It makes you laugh and cry at the same time. I felt quite numb in both happy and a sad way after watching this episode and tears well yeah was constantly getting down your eyes along with the scenes and when the music hits. This episode pretty much sums up life and death in 45 minutes.
