When graduating high school student named Jin is selected for the green card lottery pick, he tries to break free of his family's traditional stranglehold and seedy bathhouse business. Without the essential documents like an official birth certificate, he cannot proceed with the application. In the process, he risks alienating everyone in his life by keeping his secrets from all, including his family and best friends, only confiding in a female neighbor who is a fellow illegal immigrant. As their relationship blossoms, he is further conflicted in the difficult choice between following the footsteps of his elder brother and facing a life of mediocrity or daring to pursue his citizenship, which may lead to the deportation of his family.
