Decent German crime movie

I think this is the 7th Marie Brand film produced for German television. Just like all the others, it runs for slightly under 90 minutes and features Mariele Millowitsch and Hinnerk Schönemann as pair of fairly different cops. It's the second Marie Brand film I've seen and I was positively surprised as it was better than the first one I watched. This one here is about church you could say in general and pretty much a whole lot of immoral activities a local priest could be involved in, maybe even murder.

The best thing about this movie is the humor, sometimes subtle, (mostly in terms of the title character), sometimes not so subtle (about Schönemann's character). I am quite a fan of Hinnerk Schönemann, so it is nice to see him play a recurring character here. He always adds a somewhat unique brand of comedy to his crime films as he is never a perfect cop who goes by the book, but has all kinds of quirks instead. I cannot say that this movie was so great that I immediately want to watch other Marie Brand films, but it was still a good watch and the actors all did a fine job. Henry Hübchen, one of Germany's most known actors on the big screen right now, is in here as well playing a guy with whom, until the very end, you never know if he is good or bad. Solid job by everybody involved. Thumbs up.
