Sex & Nudity

  • There are a few kissing scenes and scenes that involve women in their inner-wear suggesting the characters had intercourse. Other than that nothing major. If you are watching it with a family member, there won't be many awkward moments. You'll see the kiss/intimate scene miles away so stay ready with the forward button.
  • No sex or nudity, but mild sexual dialogue (i.e. some talk about infidelity, casual sex).
  • A shirtless man is seen getting out of a bed that a woman in a bikini is lying in. It's implied that they either are about to have or did have sex, but there's no nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • Aside from arguing and scenes of real-life conflicts on the news, there's no violence in this show.

Profanity

  • One episode contains a religious profanity.
  • Frequent abuse of "Christ," "Jesus," and "God."
  • Constant casual uses of "fuck". Also numerous instances of "damn," "hell," and the 's' word, as well as crass insults such as "dick," "dickless," "asshole," "pussy," etc.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters drink alcohol and there is some marijuana usage.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Probably the mildest show to ever air on HBO.
  • Some scenes can be quite emotional, as most of the news segments portrayed in the show are about real historical events (like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill or the Tucson shooting).
