- TriviaDuring the end credits of this compilation show, utterances of Candace calling "Mom" are used to play out the Phineas and Ferb opening theme song.
- GoofsIn the first set of videos highlighting Phineas's accomplishments one of the clips is of the boys showing off the flying car they invented. The kids couldn't possibly have a clip of that however because that invention is from a dream sequence.
- Quotes
Jeremy Johnson: I bet you guys've heard a lot of strange sentences over the course of the summer.
Phineas: Boy, I'll say.
Jeremy Johnson: Can you think of any examples?
Phineas: Nope. Not offhand. See ya!
Jeremy Johnson: See ya! Happy birthday!
[whistles and cleans]
Phineas: Wait, Jeremy! I just thought of some!
["Perry Lays an Egg"]
Phineas: Nothin' says "mother's love" like a giant robotic platypus butt.
Candace: ["It's About Time!"] Why am I wearing a turtle on my head?
Buford Van Stomm: ["Bubble Boys"] I wanna float around! Like men.
Candace: ["Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?" in Perry's body] Am I sweating milk?
Candace: ["Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo" - older] Gotta go, Stacy. Good luck with that llama legislation.
Man: ["Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror"] RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! IT'S GNOME-AGEDDON!
Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: ["Isabella and the Temple of Sap"] Stickiness is the most underrated of all the nesses.
Buford Van Stomm: [original clip, rowing a boat] I knew I shoulda gotten the downpayment on the elephants.
Linda Flynn-Fletcher: ["Unfair Science Fair Redux - Another Story"] It looks a little like a rhesus monkey wearing a powdered wig.
Stacy Hirano: ["The Beak"] Oh, no! You did *not* just tell me to hench!
Phineas: ["The Beak"] What? You think we should have *more* Bulgarian folk-related elements?
Linda Flynn-Fletcher: ["Rollercoaster: The Musical!"] I'll be in the dairy section if you wanna come yell at some cheese.
Phineas: ["It's a Mud Mud Mud Mud World"] Dad, you might wanna wipe the Queen off your face.
Baljeet Tjinder: ["Got Game?"] I, too, feel a certain element of kebabism.
Ferb Fletcher: ["One Good Scare Ought to Do It"] Definitely the Giant Floating Baby Head.
Buford Van Stomm: ["We Call It Maze"] I am to metaphor cheese as metaphor cheese is to transitive verb crackers!
Candace: ["The Chronicles of Meap"] I just discovered why cows and frogs don't date.
Phineas: ["Candace's Big Day", quoting Candace] "Lawn gnome beach party of taffeta". Make a note of that.
Candace: ["One Good Scare Ought to Do It"] I'm calling Mom!
[runs into house, opens door again]
Candace: And I am *not* using the banana this time!

The idea of having the usual two or three subplot formula but revolving it around a clip show of favourite moments was a neat one. Not a novel one, but for 'Phineas and Ferb' it was relatively different. The other previous time that had a clip-show/countdown structure was with "Phineas and Ferb's Musical Cliptastic Countdown", love that episode and give it the slight edge when it comes to talking about which episode is superior. Was worried that "Phineas' Birthday Clip O Rama" would be too much of a "cheater", but it was more an affectionate trip down memory line.
"Phineas' Birthday Clip O Rama" is excellent in every way, even if structurally it is not exactly innovative. Animation is bright and colourful as always and the character animation and expressions are fun and nicely varied. The theme song is still infectious and quotable.
Writing is full of wit and intelligence throughout, with the target audience never in question. It is never too juvenile for adults, quite sophisticated and smart actually, and kids will have no trouble understanding. The story is lively in pace and always engaging, the clips were funny and affectionate and the Perry and Doofenschmirtz subplot is a hoot.
Candace's role is not as interesting, pretty limited and lacking variation, which is my one small issue with the episode.
Other than Candace, the character writing is on point. Especially adorable yet feisty Perry and the deliciously wacky Doofenschmirtz. The voice acting is excellent.
All in all, great. 9/10.
