This Saturday, the grand finale of the 62nd annual Eurovision Song Contest -- the longest-running international TV song competition in the world -- will be streamed live on YouTube beginning at 3pm Et. Last year’s stream was watched by nearly two million people, according to Eurovision, making it the third largest music live stream in YouTube’s history.
The Eurovision Song Contest, which will air on the Eurovision YouTube channel, consists of musical acts from 42 countries, who will travel this year to Kyiv, Ukraine. Each performer selects a song that’s no longer than three minutes, and must sing live onstage with no live instruments. Following two different semi-final rounds, winners will be named at the grand final round this Saturday based on a combination of jury votes and viewer participation.

The Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals have just got a whole lot more interesting with the news that Mel Giedroyc will co-host the UK coverage.
The Bake Off host said she "cannot express [her] excitement" to be joining Scott Mills while hosting live from Vienna for BBC Three.
Giedroyc said: "Words cannot express my excitement to be joining Scott and the BBC Eurovision team in Vienna this year!
"I have dreamed of this since the age of 9, when my siblings and I would mount our own Eurovision at home, taking the parts of different countries. I would always be allotted Mexico and only at the very end of our competition, would be disqualified on the grounds that I was not part of the European Union.
"I can't say that I'm any more geographically savvy than I was then, but I hope to bring some truly trivial Eurovision knowledge with me to Vienna,...

April 21, 1995 – would that be the day the ice age ended?
Well, no, you can't be that precise about the ice age. But it would be the day that Father Ted debuted on Channel 4.
It's hard to believe, but it's been 20 years since we first met Father Ted Crilly, Father Dougal McGuire, Father Jack Hackett and Mrs Doyle. We came to the Parochial House looking for a cup of tea and a Jaffa cake, and decided to stay longer than Father Stone.
Two decades on, and Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews' sitcom is still as clever, fresh and fecking hilarious as it was back then. And it's not difficult to see why the show about three priests and their housekeeper trapped on Craggy Island has enjoyed such longevity, or to argue why it is the greatest TV comedy ever made.
It has topped countless 'all-time TV comedy' polls in the past,...

The Eurovision Song Contest is an extravagant, eclectic showcase/musical Olympics that pits Europe’s nations against each other in song. And this year’s winner — bearded Austrian drag queen Conchita Wurst — didn’t fail to bring both talent and theatrics.
The alter ego of 25-year-old Thomas Neuwirth, Wurst’s power ballad “Rise Like a Phoenix” helped secure the win. Take a look:
“This is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom,” Wurst said while accepting her trophy from Emmelie de Forrest of Denmark, who won last year’s contest. “We are unity.”
