- Everything in Scott McCall's life is starting to fall into place. He gets a spot on the First Line of his Lacrosse team and a date with the woman of his dreams. But when he gets bitten by a wolf, the people around him could be in danger.
- When asthmatic bench-warmer Scott McCall and best buddy Stiles go into the woods to investigate a police report of a dead body, Scott is bitten by what he assumes is a wolf. He soon discovers that he has improved hearing, faster reflexes and a host of other symptoms leading his best friend to believe he's been bitten by a werewolf. While he quickly discovers that there's an upside to his monthly curse, the new girl at school, Allison Argent is occupying most of his thoughts. Then he meets her father...—Havan Ironoak
- Even nerdier Stiles, the teenage son of Californian small town sheriff Stilinski, drags his buddy, asthmatic lacrosse bench-warmer Scott McCall, along to spy during a foggy night on the forest site where half a devoured corpse was reported. Scott is bitten by a wolf-like creature, patches himself up in the veterinary clinic where he helps out and tries to forget about it, more fascinated by foxy new classmate Allison Argent who just moved in with her father. Initially Scott angrily dismisses Stiles's theory that he must have been 'contaminated' by a werewolf on account of miraculously fast healing and spectacularly augmented physical abilities, delighted with a party invitation after ousting the lacrosse team's years-long star Jackson Whittemore effortlessly. However he must face reality during the full moon party, forced to return home and transforming, irresistibly drawn to the forest. There he's rescued from equally unsuspected danger by mysterious drop-out Derek Hale, who reveals himself as Scott's werewolf maker and mentor.—KGF Vissers
