Here we got "Oscar Talk" from 2011, a five-minute live action interview comedy directed by Ryan Perez around the time when he got his Emmy nomination for SNL. He also wrote the script together with Mike Tyson and the latter's wife Kiki and Mike Tyson stars in here together with lauded film critic Leonard Maltin. The two are talking about the (then) upcoming Oscars and you hear some of the big players from that year mentioned during the interview. Tyson's answers were written in the most clueless manner and we see that obviously he knows nothing about the films and hasn't seen a single one of them. However, he has seen his pigeon-themed movie and is outraged why the Academy did not pay any attention to it. At the end we even see a sequence that overall lifts these 5 minutes to a slightly better level. I really loved this one the first time I saw it, but maybe overrated it a bit due to my interest in the Oscars, awards season etc. This watch now several years later wasn't as good, but still somewhat entertaining through the randomness of it all and the awkward situation. I am not the greatest FoD fan, but here Perez came up with something that's better than most of his other works for the famous Will Ferrell website. All in all, I give it a thumbs-up and it is worth checking out not only for Tyson fans.
