The most difficult Mercury Meltdown puzzle game I've played
crosswalkx24 October 2016
I have played the game Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii. And I can tell you that's it's a very hard balancing puzzle game. And let me tell you why.

The first 3 levels Astro, Bio, and Cryo was no problem for me as I'm a video game expert, so I was able to get 100% in all of them. But after that when you play Electro it gets harder, and Geo is super hard to win, and also hard in Atom, Aero and Hydro. You do get to unlock bonus mini games including Rodeo, Race, Metrix, Shove.

The soundtrack music in this game is instrumental club mix, electronica, rock, waltz, Jazz and piano music, which I enjoyed listening to.

My only complaint for this game is that there's no save states, and some of them are so hard that your blob keep falling off every time forcing you to restart at the very beginning of the level. If there were cheats like choosing make your blob in a harden ball in certain levels or soften it, and choose colors whenever you want, it would've made the game much easier.

Be warned that this Wii or Playstation 2 puzzle game can get very hard and frustrating to both beginners and video game professionals. So only buy this game if you want to be challenged and frustrated, or just listen to the beautiful soundtrack scores or play fun mini games. This game can be bought online at a very cheap price if you don't want to pay for expensive video games.

A very interesting puzzle game with a wonderful OST
One of my overall favorite games, right from my childhood, with a SPECTACULAR soundtrack I'm still impressed by after all these years. The game is pretty darn underrated and/or unknown, so it truly deserves more exposure. Fyi, I played the PSP version, the controls there were good enough for me.

I hope someone out there will eventually make a Mercury Meltdown sequel or remake (or at least a level editor for the original, so that players can create more levels for it), because to me, even if very challenging at times, it's honestly a pretty interesting and unique concept, colorful and nice graphics, and very fun to play.
