This is the first time that John Irons' A.I. device, Hedy, is referred to by name.
Sam Lane finally refers to Mitch Anderson's correct rank - Lieutenant General after several episodes of other characters calling him Lieutenant (a junior officer rank).
When Clark & Lois play rock, paper scissors to see who will talk with the boys, Clark loses to Lois when he picks scissors. After, he comments it happens "every time". This scene is highly reminiscent of Supernatural, another CW show. Main characters Sam & Dean makes several decisions playing rock, paper, scissors with Dean always losing picking scissors and comments that it happens every time.
When Lt. Gen. Mitch Anderson is first seen speaking with the other universe's Ally Allston, everything in the office is in mirror format (e.g., flag in corner; names on uniforms) EXCEPT for the framed U.S. flag on the wall behind him. This has been rotated 180 degrees around the flag's centre point. This flag is in the orientation of showing distress or danger. Sometimes, people also class this as a sign of disrespect. To be correct with the rest of the objects in the room, the flag should have been rotated 180 degress about its' centre vertical axis.
