Such a phenomenal cast!

The casting is spot-on and in this episode we see the multi-generational kids really shine. We have some old favorites return, too. Uncle Nicky really gets what Cassidy is going through and is able to educate Kevin as well as steer Cassidy to the right place for help. Another poignant, relatable episode.

Kevin's final solo episode
adamsmith-9469317 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, this episode did a fantastic job at showcasing Kevin, who has always been portrayed so masterfully by Justin Hartley.

Although it seemed to be running a bit slow, we got to see the initial stages of Big Three Homes, which we knew that Kevin was going to be forming at some stage.

Clever writing in how he wants to give veterans a new opportunity for work as well.

It seems as though everything we have seen for the past 5 seasons is starting to piece together, and I feel we are going to see some interesting stories in the next 2 patriot episodes of the final Big Three trilogy. Cannot wait.

Kevins purpose in life

I really enjoyed Kevin's episode. Maybe finally he has found what his life should be about? I mean it would be pretty hard to live up to Jacks standards. Most of us would fail to be honest.

We saw a new version of him, heartfelt, not as selfish as normally and you just gotta live Nicky's arc. I couldn't be happier seeing him dancing with his girlfriend.

A TIU episode is a good one for me if it made me tear up and it did. Sad that it's going to end but eager to know how it will conclude.

Lovely episode. Cassidy's battle with PTSD was so raw and emotional. Jennifer Morrison is an extraordinary talent. Justin Hartley is great with his vulnerability on display.

Boring

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know why they don't put much effort in Kevin's episodes. They could make him a much deeper interesting character instead of the handsome shallow famous guy. What I didn't like about this episode besides the same Cassidy stuff is that when he went and stayed in the hospital who did the twins stay with??? Like didn't even mention them. It's little details that us parents are always aware of. I don't know this season feels like it's being stretched. I wanted to see more of Rebecca's progression, her story with Miguel or how Kate is going to break up with Toby eventually. I thought it was going to be more thrilling.

Kevin can eff himself

I'm so glad that this is the final "Kevin" Episode. He's such an insufferable , boring character. It's always the same! He thinks he has everything under control, he flops, he comes up with some "self enlightened"(mostly one-sided) argument/diatribe, and then all is well until the next "rinse & repeat".

He would've built it if he'd just had the time.

There are some lines that just stay with you. And this certainly was one of them. Kevin said it as he was reminiscing over his dead father.

Having personally gone through something similar myself, I felt it deeply.

Sorry, hated this ep

I don't understand. Kevin is a jerk, always has been always will be and the writing is not making him redeemable nor sympathetic. He's selfish and full of himself. They still haven't repaired or had him fully grasp or understand Randall and the argument and comments he made about him. They rushed that and swept that under the rug. He thinks he's so important, doesn't understand being an addict (but he is one so that's confusing) or having ptsd (after the WHOLE thing with Nicky!) really? This episode was a mess, Cassidy isn't integral and this sounds awful but I just don't care about her (she doesn't fit into the show!), Nicky all of a sudden is healed and in a relationship and both could just move their lives to help poor Kevin be the amazing son he is, eyeroll. I'm bored of the filler episodes that don't do anything or say anything and the lazy writing especially because the episode with Jack's mother was so stellar. Are they running out of ideas? I guess I'm glad it's almost over. Sigh.

Just. End. It.

TIU has become insufferable. They are just dragging this out with a boring, dull storyline. So glad this is the last season. I'm just staying with it because I want to see what happens but honestly I could just watch the finale and probably not miss anything.
