Warsaw-based sales agency New Europe Film Sales has teamed up with Spade, the production arm of the French genre label The Jokers, and leading German distribution company Plaion Pictures to create Cherry, a development fund for edgy films with crossover potential.

Since the original sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy was announced, we’ve wondered if Jeff Bridges would return. Thanks to the Film Comment podcast, we have a solid answer today.
The legendary actor, who has brought to life some of pop culture’s most zen characters, confirmed that he was indeed returning to Disney for the third film in the series – Tron: Ares. But in what capacity?
During the interview, Bridges was upfront about his involvement with the sequel, saying, “I am heading off this Saturday to play a part in the third installment of the Tron story.” He was notably excited but also worried about acting with a particular co-star. Bridges followed up his comment with, “It’s wild. Jared Leto is the star of this third one; I’m really anxious to work with him, and I’ve admired his work.”

Welcome back to the Grid, user. Disney is finally following up their cult franchise with a new entry, Tron: Ares. While the new entry in the series does not seemingly feature the Flynn family, at least for now, their legacy will be put into further question as a sophisticated program escapes from the game and ventures into our world. Jared Leto, who had a big swing and a miss with his last franchise attempt, Morbius, is heading up the cast for this continuation. Disney recently unveiled details of Tron: Ares‘ release at last week’s CinemaCon.
Cbr.com has reported on an on-set video taken during a night shoot on the production. The video was posted to social media and seems to show a scene that takes place in a city street with cars stalled in the middle of the road. Jared Leto is seen in full view in his character’s costume.

If you’re a fan of comic books and superheroes in general, you may already know how power creeping works in the most basic sense, and Marvel Comics is not alien to that phenomenon. Time and time again, we have seen members of The Avengers and The X-Men facing impossible odds in the form of supervillains who can very well be regarded as gods by mortals.
Josh Brolin as Thanos in a still from Avengers: Infinity War
But apart from the Mad Titan Thanos with the infinity stones in his possession as seen in the MCU, the villains and heroes from Marvel Comics will make him look like a pale hamster in comparison.
Thankfully, the X-Men have their own version of a god named Miranda, who has the implausible and mind-numbing ability to do anything with the fabric of the Marvel Comics universe, which will make The One Above All look like a toddler.

Ultron is one of the most nefarious and tricky foes the Avengers have had to deal with in the pages of Marvel Comics. However, the character was underutilized in his big-screen debut in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film’s climax sees the villainous AI disintegrated, leaving little room for Ultron’s return in future MCU projects.

However, one particular storyline from rivals DC Comics, featuring Cyborg could show the path for bringing back Ultron, especially amidst all the uncertainty revolving around the MCU’s plans involving Kang the Conqueror. We are officially in a bold, new future, folks. No, I'm not talking about how it feels like we're just one misguided billionaire's whims away from actually entering the grid and ending up in some dystopian era where we're literally living through the plot of "Tron" and its follow-up, "Tron: Legacy." I'm referring to the fact that legacy sequels to legacy sequels are now in vogue and here to stay for good. But you can't argue with what the people want and what they want is as simple as it gets: more Daft Punk.
After years and years of viewers demanding a third movie in the "Tron" franchise, Disney is making that wish into a reality. It's been a little over a year since we first found out that the project had been officially green-lit and would proceed under the title "Tron: Ares." Today, we've finally received our first look at the threequel and,...

Hulu announced today that Moving, which became the most-watched Korean original on the streamer and Disney+ globally earlier this summer, will be available in English in December.
The 20-episode series that’s an adaptation of Kang Full’s popular webtoon started streaming Aug. 9.
Starring Ryu Seungryong, Han Hyojoo and Zo Insung, Moving tells the story of a group of South Korean spies working to protect their super-powered children from harm and exploitation at the hands of malicious government agencies. Initially recruited because of their extraordinary abilities including flight, instant healing and enhanced senses, the spies disappeared without a trace after being tasked with carrying out increasingly dubious missions. Now with their children exhibiting similar abilities and a dangerous assassin rapidly picking off super-powered individuals, the parents must leave their peaceful lives behind to become the “monsters” they once were.

It feels like we’ve been hearing about Krapopolis since the days of ancient Greece, doesn’t it? Fox first ordered the animated comedy from Dan Harmon more than three years ago, and after multiple delays, it’s now quite possibly the only TV show ever to have been renewed for three seasons before even airing a single episode. So now that it’s finally arrived, was it worth the wait? Actually, to my pleasant surprise, it was. Krapopolis — debuting this Sunday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c; I’ve seen the first three episodes — is a very worthy occupant of Fox’s vaunted Sunday night animation block,...

In 1982, director Steven Lisberger released "Tron," which featured cutting edge (for the time) computer-generated graphics in a uniquely original futuristic storyline. There are many reasons why "Tron" is still listed as a pioneer in the sci-fi genre; Lisberger's film was truly ahead of its time with its virtual universe setting along with a profound exploration of the creator-creation dynamic. So, when the film's 2010 legacy sequel, "Tron: Legacy" hit theaters, there were massive expectations surrounding the continuation of Kevin Flynn's (Jeff Bridges) gripping saga.
However, "Tron Legacy" still triggers divisive opinions and is considered a critical and commercial flop. Over the years, the legacy (heh) of the sequel has undergone some reappraisal and garnered a cult following that's loyal to director Joseph Kosinski's ambitious vision. I, for one, would like to unfurl a conversation about "Tron: Legacy" and argue that this "Tron" sequel holds more value than initially meets the eye,...

When the leaves start to turn and the streaming calendar flips over to autumn, it’s helpful to have a guaranteed hit. And that’s exactly what Hulu has on its hands with its list of new releases for September 2022.
While Prime Video unveils The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and HBO Max continues on with House of the Dragon, Hulu is turning to a hit of its own with The Handmaid’s Tale. Season 5 of the dystopian epic premieres Sept. 14. That’s just the start of Hulu’s TV offerings this month though.
While there are no original movies to speak of, Hulu has many shows to accompany June’s story in September. South Korea sci-fi series Grid arrives on Sept. 7 and is followed by Wedding Season on Sept. 8, Reboot on Sept. 20, and Ramy season 3 on Sept. 30. September is a strong month for the Disney-owned streaming service Hulu. A solid mix of original content is marked with the return of a sitcom impresario in “Modern Family” creator Steven Levitan and his new show “Reboot.” On top of that, there’s a bevy of new films being added to the service, including Ridley Scott’s “The Last Duel” that should fill the time with kids returning to school. We’re breaking down all the new shows and movies you’ll be able to watch in September on Hulu.
The main one is the aforementioned “Reboot,” created by Steven Levitan. The show follows a showrunner (played by “Crazy Ex Girlfriend’s” Rachel Bloom) who pitches a reboot of the 2000s-era sitcom “Step Right Up.” Unfortunately, her plans for the reboot are fraught with issues, including an acrimonious lead couple (Judy Greer and Keegan-Michael Key) and another with legal...
