- A young woman with a troubled past goes on a mission with a pair of large garden shears, while making repeated advances to a kind stranger who helps her after her latest episode of emotional trauma.
- English title, "I Could Have Been A Hooker" or "I Could've Been a Hooker"
Found as an Extra feature on the U.S. DVD of the French film, "Names of Love" (English subtitles on both films). Both films share a plot feature; both women were molested as children by their piano teacher, Mr. Boyer, though the films share no common actors. Both women are promiscuous as adults, though in different plots.
Short story about a young woman who buys a pair of garden shears, is briefly overcome with emotional trauma that might be contrived or a genuine near-fainting spell, then finds her chasing a kind stranger who lives near her destination. She makes repeated advances to him, but he is quite clear about not spending time or becoming involved with her.
After sharing dinner and small talk, she confesses to him that her mission with the garden shears is to castrate the piano teacher who molested her when she was a child. Her rationale is that she must prevent him from harming other children.
She points out that other women who were molested as children often become hookers. Although she is promiscuous, she has never accepted money for sex. Thus the significance of the title.
Her carelessness while drinking wine leads to his attempt to remove numerous new and old stains from her blouse with his special cleaning recipe. She insists that she, herself, is stained, but he denies this. She offers that if he can remove all the stains, she will gladly sleep with him. His renewed vigor suggests he is no longer denying her advances.
The next morning, the man finds her naked on his apartment balcony. He sits to play his piano, and that reminds her of her mission. She leaves the apartment.
Her old piano teacher's apartment is nearby. The man chases after her, but remains locked out of the teacher's building. She knocks on the teacher's door, shows him the garden shears she's brought to castrate him. Now a bearded, very old man, he turns shocked and pale when he recognizes her and realizes what she has come to do. He turns to run, but is quite infirm and can barely walk.
She realizes there's nothing to be gained from harming him and leaves. She meets the man waiting outside and they embrace and kiss after her emotional journey.
