A permanent conflict
comencinipedro5 April 2011
Warology is a finely-made documentary, whose goal is to open up the Pandora box and explore how all types of modern warfare can impact our ecosystem, our society and even on our everyday-life. Nuclear pollution, meteorological menaces, economic sabotage and information warfare are some of the different tools used to fight today's wars, often never- ending and most of the time invisible to the telly-viewers' eyes.

The technique used to develop the topic, is a punchy juxtaposition of several war connoisseurs interviews, supported by a stunning fast-pace editing and a violent stream of deeply impacting images, machine-gunned over the audience's consciousness. For the whole length of the documentary, about eighty minutes, the viewer is hooked to the story- plot, that reveals some shocking (and mostly ignored) truth about the cutting-edge war tools: HAARP, the military program "Owning the weather", the mysterious chemical trails (also known to conspiracists as chemtrails) left by the military airplanes in the skies above us.

The modern war is displayed as permanent conflict, nourished by the eagerness of the military corporations to generate more incomes. A war declared and fought, progressively further away from the traditional military Departments, who act as puppets at the mercy of the real war leaders, the corporations. No narrating voice is used to hold together the different interviews, no ready-for-use truth is given. The documentary offers different paths to the audience, combining some dismaying disclosures upon the most sophisticated and technologically advanced war tools, to a well- read and comprehensive discussion upon the frontiers of the new frontier-less conflicts.

The strength of the movie is its bravery in depicting the ongoing reality, without indulging in ready-to-use clichés, in mystification of the reality such as choosing a face or an institution to demonize, to offer to the audience as the great and only responsible of all the crimes. The documentary tries to go beyond any conspiracy theory, asking to the audience to find their own way to the truth.

I highly recommend to view this movie: a must-see for every person athirst for understanding of the world reality, and a piece of great cinema with a knockout visual impact that will match the expectations of the most demanding filmgoers.
