South West Screen announced that In the Dark Half, the first of the three iFeatures films to reach completion, has been selected to screen at the Raindance Film Festival in London (28 September – 9 October).The ghost story, starring Tony Curran, Lyndsey Marshal and Jessica Barden, will have its World premiere at the festival on Monday 3 October, at the Apollo Cinema in Piccadilly Circus.In The Dark Half is the first of three films to be made under South West Screen’s iFeatures scheme, backed by BBC Films, Matador Pictures and Bristol City Council. ...

Filmed last year in Worthing and London, Seamonsters tells the tale of two best mates, Sam and Kieran; a bewitching traveller girl, Lori; Moony, waitress and dreamer. Wild young lives which are torn apart by a terrible tragedy.
Jack McMullen from Waterloo Road stars as Sam, and Reece Noi, recently seen in BBC legal drama Silk, as Kieran.

Shooting has begun in Bristol on Eight Minutes Idle, the second film to be made under iFeatures, South West Screen's groundbreaking micro-budget filmmaking scheme. The first film being In The Dark Half (previously known as The Dark Half) starring Jessica Barden which completed shooting at the end of last year and is now in post-production.
Eight Minutes Idle is a warped urban comedy about life in a Bristol call-centre, directed by BBC New Filmmaker finalist and multi award-winning shorts director Mark Simon Hewis, based upon Matt Thorne's award-winning novel.

The London Critics’ Circle has announced the nominees for its 31st Film Awards, including five fantastic young actors all nominated for the Young British Performer of the year, and all previously featured on Screenterrier.
The five nominees for Young British Performer of the Year are:
