Spade County

I really enjoyed watching this movie that Stars Rex Sikes as Sheriff Stone Williams and Mark Mundt as Doug Porter.

Spade County has a history with The order of Attollo, (a cult like group compose of a melting pot of characters that could be compared to the Manson family, the firefly family, from the devils rejects). The Order's history goes back many years in spade county. Now, bizarre crimes are reported in Spade County with all fingers now pointing to Doug Porter, a local man who's the outcast of Spade. Sheriff Williams, who was the town hero years ago, now too is an outcast. The Sheriff, stressed out with a low approval rating of late, cannot pull it together to solve the new crimes and seems to be the laughing stock of spade county. Doug Porter decides to finally just move from Spade County, but before he can, his world is thrust back into darkness as he must face the entire truth to what happened years ago, which is a road of death and macabre in spade county.

In a world of bad remakes that are consistently shoved down our throats. I truly enjoyed the original story of The Spade County Massacre. Its clear that the filmmakers had small budget to work with, but the acting is decent and the special effects are great. Its one of those movies, you want to keep watching, hoping it won't end.

If you enjoy old school horror movies, you will enjoy The Spade County Massacre. It pays homage to all the great horror classics without being a remake or a rip off. There are some brutal scenes in this low budget horror underground classic for the die hard horror movie lover.
