Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • This game is a military-based First-Person-Shooter where in which, players will take the role of American soldiers fighting against the Taliban in the middle-east. The violence isn't graphic.
  • Whenever an enemy is shot by a standard weapon (assault rifles, handguns, sniper rifles, submachine guns), a tiny bit of blood can spurt out of the point, where the enemy is shot.
  • In some instances, shooting an enemy near a wall will result in a blood stain being left on that wall.
  • Enemies can also be stabbed using a knife. This attack is very quick, but it will show some blood splatter.
  • High-powered Shotguns and Explosive weapons can easily blow the arms, legs and head clean off of enemies, leaving behind a gory stump with lots of surrounding blood.
  • There are segments where the player uses a high-powered sniper rifle to shoot enemies from afar, which can blow off their limbs or cause their heads to completely explode into blood and chunks.
  • *Note* Most of the blood and gore can be deactivated via a "Graphic Content Filter" in the options menu.
  • One thing that can't be turned off is a very brief instance when one of your squad-mates quickly grabs an enemy, throws him face down to the floor, and then buries a hatchet into the back of his skull, complete with a loud cracking noise as the blade pierces the bone. This scene, while graphic, is very brief.

Profanity

  • 48 uses of "Fuck" and some milder words. However, most of these occur during intense moments of action where the background noise will partially drown out the swearing.
  • Some Religious blasphemies are also used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In one level, a terrorist is observed drinking a bottle of alcohol.
  • One or two terrorists throughout the game can be seen smoking a cigarette.
  • One soldier is briefly seen chewing tobacco.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This game is set in the war on terror between the Taliban and American Soldiers, specifically Operation Anaconda. The main storyline to this game is very somber and realistic. It puts the player in several intense situations that are sometimes seemingly hopeless.
  • One level starts off with the player inside of a Chinook transport helicopter that gets shot up by a lot of gunfire. This entire scene is observed by the player in a first-person perspective, and some of your comrades are shown getting shot, with everybody being thrown around inside as the helicopter rolls and eventually crashes into the ground. Throughout this scene, loud crashing noises and bullets ripping through the metal walls are audible.
  • The ending is very sad, especially since it is based around real warfare, which may be upsetting to many audiences.
  • Medal of Honor is violent and profane, but also educational in the manner that it shows the emotional horrors that real soldiers were actually experienced and still are in the fight against terrorism.
