In the first scene when you see the body in the dumpster it is laying on a bunch of trash but in the next scene when she climbs into the dumpster, the body is laying on the bottom with no trash.
When Ray is at the stables, there is no gray in his beard like the other Present scenes.
In both scenes where Ray and Bumpy spot Pac-Man, first in the horse stable and again at the baseball game, Ray calls out to him, giving him the heads-up and thus causing him to get away. Why on earth would a seasoned cop give the suspect a warning before he could subdue him?
In the 2002 scene where a body is discovered, two police cars are parked outside. The one with roof lights flashing has a correct-for-2002 strobe light bar, but the other (with lights off) is sporting a very modern low-profile LED light bar that would not come into existence for at least another decade.
In the shot including Dodger Stadium and the L.A. skyline, which is set in 2002, the Ritz Carlton at L.A. Live can be seen. That hotel was not built until 2010.
In 2002 they drive a BMW E60 which, by the looks of it, seems to be newer than the LCI 2007. Also, in a scene of the car's interior, it has the electronic gearbox, which was introduced with this LCI.
When detectives arrive at the scene of a homicide, Officer Fierro informs one of them, "... body appears to have been bleached, inside and out." Household laundry bleach would have left an odor, but the officer would have no way of knowing the perpetrator had given the body a vaginal douche or enema or irrigated the mouth. The first responders should not disturb the body beyond determining that the victim is in fact dead. Household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) evaporates quickly, but if it remains in contact with the skin for an extended period, possibly pooled in the navel or ear or between the body and a wash basin, it can stain the skin of a corpse yellow/brown to dark reddish brown, depending on the length of contact, dilution, temperatures and other factors.
Nicole Kidman's speaks with her native Australian accent in some scenes, but in a North American accent throughout the majority of the film.
