Sex & Nudity

  • In Season 3, a trafficked victim is dressed in a Japanese kimono is sitting on a bed. The man walks over to her and the scene cuts away before anything happens.
  • Season 3: German officers are seen at a night club where women are scantily dressed.
  • Season 2: orgy-party scene, topless women in the background.
  • Season 2 : Male-female sex scene. Passionate kissing. Man takes off her shirt, she is wearing a bra. And she takes off his shirt. Then scene cuts out. Sex is implied.
  • A woman strips naked to be examined by a male doctor. Only her bare back is shown.
  • Season 3 Episode 5 full female and male nudity during lap dance.
  • Season 1: One female top-less scene that lasts a few seconds and is very easy to miss.
  • Season 1: A man is forced to strip naked. A remark is made about how he is uncircumcised, though we don't see any nudity. He covers his genitals with his hands. He has to do this because he is going to prison.
  • Season 1: A man tells a woman she will need to give "personal services" in order to get a job, then proceeds to unzip his pants. She runs out of the room before anything happens. No nudity is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • In Season 3, two Nazi officers watch while a Nazi soldier pulls a crying little girl away from her mother's arms and shoots the mother in the head in front of the child. He tries to shoot the girl too, but his gun jams. So he grabs the terrified girl by the hand and foot, spins her around several times, and then slams her headfirst into a brick wall. The camera cuts away just before she hits the wall.
  • Several people experience various forms of torture during the series, including beatings and electrocution. Bloody injuries, scars, and swelling are shown.
  • Season 1
  • A group of people are shot; there is blood. People are shot offscreen. Person is tied up and beaten, mainly offscreen.
  • A man is beaten in prison. A group of people are in a gun battle and there are several individuals shot.
  • A man identifies the bodies of his sister and her children. While it is not gruesome, it is quite emotional. Graphic pictures of shooting victims. A marshal kills and hangs a man. There is an intense gun battle at the end.
  • A man shoots another man in the arm. Blood is shown.
  • Opens with a shooting scene. A Japanese military officer stabs himself before being beheaded.
  • Gun battle. A Nazi leader pushes another man over the edge of a skyscraper. Film shows prisoners shot at point blank range.

Profanity

  • Season 1: a few vulgarities are heard in each episode, including "fuck", "shit", "hell", "Goddamn", and "bitch".
  • Season 2: vulgarities similar to those in season 1 are heard.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Lots of characters smoke cigarettes throughout the show.
  • A few scenes of drinking alcohol, mainly whiskey and wine, but not too common.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The whole series has genrally a disturbing topic
  • There are several instances seen in the series of people getting beheaded that are done fairly realistically.

Violence & Gore

  • Season 3, two men walk into a bar, accuse a customer of being Jewish, and shoot him in the head. In a later episode, another Jewish man walks into the same bar and kills the two men from the previous scene.
